    A client of Express Employment Professionals – Union, NJ is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Terminal Operator to support fuel operations at a local fuel terminal. This hands-on role is responsible for safely receiving, storing, and transferring petroleum products, ensuring all operations comply with safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and operate terminal equipment to safely load and unload fuel products from trucks, pipelines, barges, or railcars., • Perform tank gauging and sampling to verify product levels, quality, and integrity., • Operate valves, pumps, meters, and other terminal equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures., • Conduct routine inspections of tanks, pipes, hoses, and safety equipment to ensure safe and leak-free operation., • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials, use of PPE, and emergency response procedures., • Complete logs, reports, and documentation related to fuel movements, inventory, and maintenance activities., • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and coordinate with maintenance teams when repairs are needed., • Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors to coordinate daily loading schedules and fuel deliveries. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required., • 1+ year of experience in terminal operations, fuel handling, or industrial process environments preferred., • Basic knowledge of fuel products, terminal systems, and safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)., • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate valves, gauges, and control systems., • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and environmental procedures., • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs., • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or be on-call as needed.
