Salary Range: (Annual: $60, 000.00 to $80,000.00 depending upon experience, plus bonus. REQUIREMENTS: * Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the legal field (Estate Planning and/or Estate Probate/Administration). · Ability to Work Independently and Efficiently.· Good Organizational Skills· Good Phone Manners.· 60 WPM Typing · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). · Organized · Calm Under Pressure · Polished · Articulate· Computer Literate · Experience with, or the Ability to master, Hot Docs, Clio, Quicken, and similar programs. · Professional · Excellent People Skills· Patience.· Be Able to Climb Two (2) Flights of Stairs Daily and Lift 20 Lbs.· Fluency in Spanish is a plus· Someone who resides in Westchester County or Bronx County is preferred. Technical Skills: · MS Office with particular proficiency in Word and Excel. Knowledge of Clio, or similar Practice Management Software, is a plus · Adobe· Add numbers quickly· Able to type at least 60 words a minute· Able to use a computer, typewriter (yes, we still use them), copy machine, and various software programs· Able to speak and write clearly· Excellent phone manner· Someone who is able and willing to learn software programs such as QuickBooks, Quicken, HotDocs, and Clio Responsibilities and Duties: Assisting attorneys with: · Preparing legal documents such as Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and related estate planning documents using MS Word · Will execution ceremonies· Organization of the information about various parties involved in a particular case. · Organization of information of a client’s or decedent’s assets, such as bank statements or income tax returns. · Speaking to court personnel regarding outstanding cases· Electronic filing of documents, i.e., via NYSCEF· Preparing Informal Estate Accountings. Administrative Functions: · Greeting clients and helping them to feel comfortable, valued, and welcomed· Answering telephones in a courteous, professional, and upbeat manner· Scheduling client appointments, closings, motions, etc.· Helping to keep the office neat and clean· Filing of legal and financial documentation· Scheduling community events for the attorneys· Opening, sorting, and delivering mail to the appropriate parties· Signing attorneys up for CLE’s, networking events, etc.· Opening new files· Reviewing the daily calendar with attorneys and staff· Depositing the mail with the USPS Contact Information: The Law Offices of Joseph A.
