Job DescriptionNursing Clinical Instructor - Pediatrics or OB-Gyn | MSN Required | California We are seeking a passionate and qualified Nursing Clinical Instructor to join our growing nursing education program. This full-time faculty position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses with expertise in Pediatrics or OB-Gyn to transition into nursing education and shape the next generation of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities • Plan, coordinate, and supervise clinical experiences for nursing students in healthcare facilities, • Evaluate student clinical performance according to established nursing program policies and competency standards, • Provide immediate, constructive feedback to students following clinical observations and skills assessments, • Apply adult learning principles and evidence-based teaching strategies in clinical instruction, • Track and submit student attendance, grades, and clinical skills documentation accurately and timely, • Maintain comprehensive student records including attendance, clinical competencies, and performance data, • Orient new faculty members to clinical teaching methodologies and program expectations, • Ensure clinical sites meet current health, safety, and accreditation standards, • Participate in strategic planning and program assessment initiatives to enhance nursing education quality, • Continuously improve instructional quality through professional development and teaching innovations, • Develop proficiency in online teaching platforms and educational technology enhancements, • Submit required reports, evaluations, and documentation to the Program Director in a timely manner, • Stay current on nursing technology, clinical best practices, and safety regulations, • Provide student accessibility through scheduled office hours, email correspondence, and academic support, • Participate in student advising and mentorship activities, • Serve on nursing program committees supporting curriculum development and program improvement, • Attend faculty meetings and participate in collaborative decision-making, • Coordinate clinical assignments to meet both student learning objectives and healthcare facility requirementsRequired Qualifications, • Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher degree from an accredited nursing program; degrees in nursing education or nursing administration preferred, • Completed coursework in Obstetrics (OB), Pediatrics (Peds), or Psychiatric Nursing, • Licensure: Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California State Board of Registered Nursing, • Clinical Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of direct patient care experience as a Registered Nurse, • At least one (1) year of clinical nursing experience within the last five (5) years (clinical teaching experience qualifies per CCR Title 5, Section 1420(c)), • Specialty Expertise: Demonstrated clinical expertise in either Pediatric Nursing or OB-Gyn (Obstetrics-Gynecology) nursing practice, • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare facility staff and nursing program facultyPreferred Qualifications, • Previous nursing education or clinical instruction experience, • Certification in specialty area (Pediatric Nursing or Women's Health), • Experience with learning management systems and educational technology Competitive Compensation: • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance starting the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment, • Two (2) weeks of paid vacation per year, increasing with years of service, • Twelve (12) paid holidays plus two (2) floating holidays annually, • 401(k) retirement plan with generous company matching contribution, • Company-paid Life Insurance coverage at 1x annual salary, • Leadership development programs and professional training for career advancement, • Tuition assistance and loan forgiveness programs for you and your familyâ??up to 100% coverage depending on program, • Faculty development opportunities and continuing education support
