Job DescriptionThis position is for a part-time 11pm-7am overnight LPN. Weekends and holidays may be required. We pay for all of an 8-hour/12-hour shift including paid lunch and breaks. Culture • Administer prescribed medications or start intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on patients' charts., • Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action., • Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them., • Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, or performing catheterizations., • Work as part of a healthcare team to assess resident needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions., • Supervise nurses' aides., • Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes, conferring with other healthcare team members as necessary., • Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures., • Work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, Assistant Dir. of Nursing, and/or RN supervisor.Mandatory Qualifications of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):, • Must have a valid and current LPN license in accordance with the laws of NJ, • CPR Certified Skills & Qualities of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):, • Must be able to read, write, speak & understand the English language, • Must have the computer skills to learn & use Point Click Care for charting medical records., • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the resident served., • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept., • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
