Job DescriptionDescription: The Radisson Hotel of Freehold is seeking a passionate culinary professional to join our award-winning team as a Line Cook. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a flair for high-volume food preparation and presentation, we want to hear from you. The role of Line Cook is responsible for properly preparing food in a timely manner, while maintaining the highest level of health standards. The Line Cook should be familiar with the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s kitchen which includes cooking for the on-site restaurant, room service, and all hotel functions. Responsibilities & Duties • Plans, prepares, and cooks various items while maintaining high levels of health standards, • Operates various kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, broilers, etc, • Prepares food on the line as needed by cutting, chopping, mixing, etc, • Sets up stations and collects all necessary supplies to prepare menu items, • Occasionally serve food when staffing needs are not met, • Clean and sanitizes all kitchen equipment, • Coordinates daily food supply inventory and submits order to supervisor, • Communicates and coordinates with server staff about special requests, food allergies, and other various tasks, • Reorders food items and restocks food supplies, • Keeps track of quality of food, keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock, • Follows recipes in accordance with Company standards Compensation and Benefits include: • This position offers a starting rate that ranges from $16 to $17 per hour depending on qualifications and experience., • Full time employees will have the opportunity to earn paid time-off and join the company's health, dental, vision, and retirement plans (once qualified).Requirements: Job Qualifications & Skills • Time Management, • Ability to work as part of a team, • ServSafe Certification preferred, • Excellent communication and organization skills, • Previous restaurant experience preferred, • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment, • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, kneel, squat, bend, • Ability to lift 20 pounds or more and push/pull 50 pounds or more., • Ability to use basic kitchen equipment such as knives, stoves, etc
