We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in New York beginning Jan 2, 2026. This opportunity includes a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts, requiring flexibility to provide coverage wherever needed. The assignment focuses on ambulatory cardiology with pre- and post-procedure care, including cath lab and electrophysiology support. Job Details • Location: New York, • Start Date: Jan 2, 2026, • LOA: 10 days, • Provider Type Needed: Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, • Manage ambulatory cardiology patients, including pre- and post-op care for catheterization, EPS, stress testing, and TEE procedures, • Provide care for TR Bands, and manage pre- and post-cath lab patients, • Administer IV medications and manage medication drips, • Write admission orders under supervising attending, • Advance care planning and obtain consent, • Perform arterial blood gas determinations, blood cultures, phlebotomy, venipuncture, and EKGs (performance and interpretation), • Change surgical and non-surgical dressings, remove drains and central venous pressure lines, • Insert and manage feeding tubes, Foley catheters, nasogastric tubes, and venous lines, • Initiate consultation requests, CPR, and assist in codes, • Order imaging studies and routine laboratory work, • Provide pain management and medication reconciliation, • Monitor vital signs and participate in interdisciplinary rounds, • Conduct patient histories, physicals, and pre-operative medical assessments, • Deliver pre- and post-op instructions and patient education, • Write daily progress notes, discharge orders, and summaries, • Manage patients undergoing mitral clip, ASD closures, Watchman, and related cardiac procedures, • Prescribe and manage contrast prophylaxis protocols, • Review and request outside cardiac reports and studies, • Manage direct admissions and transfers for advanced cardiac care, • Receive cardiac patients from the ED post-catheterization for discharge management, • Manage patients on antiarrhythmic therapy (e.g., Tikosyn, Sotalol), • Admit patients requiring overnight monitoring and provide sign-outs to receiving teams, • Collaborate daily with cardiology attendings and fellows, • Active New York license required, • Board certification in Cardiology required, • Strong compensation, • Travel-related expenses covered, • A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided #LI-SC1
