Job DescriptionLead Our Third-Shift Fabrication Team Step into a night where production hums, quality never sleeps, and your leadership sets the tone. As our Bilingual Manufacturing Team Lead on third shift, you’ll guide a crew of machine operators, assemblers, and production staff—coaching in both English and Spanish—to hit targets in safety, quality, accuracy, and throughput. Compensation: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience. Full-time employees receive health, dental, vision, and other benefits. A Day (or Night) in the Role At the start of shift, you review work orders, prioritize the queue, and expedite jobs through the manufacturing process. You assign tasks, stage materials, and ensure operators are set up to win. Throughout the night, you monitor processes for efficiency and quality, inspect equipment, and enforce safety protocols. When challenges arise, you partner with maintenance and engineering to troubleshoot and keep lines running. You capture production data—quantities, downtime, and material usage—provide status updates to leadership, and look for ways to maximize resources while reducing scrap and rework. You train new hires, refresh skills for seasoned teammates, and continuously elevate standards. What You’ll Own • Leading a third-shift production team to meet output, quality, and safety goals., • Planning and assigning work by workload and priority; ensuring schedules are met., • Monitoring manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and safety compliance., • Conducting routine equipment inspections and coordinating corrective actions., • Troubleshooting with maintenance and engineering to resolve technical issues., • Implementing and reinforcing safety protocols across the floor., • Maintaining accurate records: quantities, downtime, and material consumption., • Onboarding and ongoing training on safety, production techniques, and equipment use., • Collaborating with Quality and Logistics to ensure smooth flow and on-time delivery., • Driving continuous improvement and performing other duties to elevate operations. What You Bring, • Fluency in English and Spanish; capable of coaching and communicating in both., • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred., • Proven leadership in a manufacturing environment., • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and inventory management., • Experience using production scheduling tools or ERP systems., • Strong team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Quick problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced setting., • Excellent prioritization, organizational skills, and attention to detail., • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure with a commitment to quality. Working Conditions, • Manufacturing environment with stamping presses, roll formers, laser cutting, and standard sheet metal fabrication equipment; limited outdoor exposure., • Physical demands: lift up to 50 lbs; repetitive hand use with simple grasping; push/pull up to 50 lbs; standing, lifting, bending, twisting, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching above shoulders, and climbing.
