Position Summary GLC Minerals is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to manage end-to-end supply chain operations to help support our manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for demand planning, procurement, inventory management, inbound logistics, vendor management, and supply chain systems administration to ensure reliable material availability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of strategic thinking, operational execution, and systems expertise to improve supply continuity, optimize inventory and transportation costs, strengthen supplier relationships, and support plant performance. This position serves as a key cross-functional partner to Operations, Maintenance, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Sales teams. Key Responsibilities · Demand Planning & Material Alignment • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for raw materials, packaging materials, and critical maintenance/spare parts, • Translate production and maintenance plans into material requirements, • Monitor demand variability and adjust purchasing and inventory strategies accordingly, • Identify and communicate supply risks proactively, • Utilize NetSuite demand planning and inventory management tools to support operational planning · Procurement & Supplier Management • Manage procurement of raw materials, inventory items, consumables, and critical supplies, • Issue and manage purchase orders within NetSuite, • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply, • Support vendor negotiations, pricing alignment, and supplier performance management, • Monitor supplier reliability, lead times, and service levels · Inventory Management & Control • Establish and manage inventory policies including min/max levels and safety stock strategies, • Monitor inventory levels, turns, aging, and accuracy, • Lead cycle counting initiatives and continuous inventory accuracy improvements, • Ensure alignment between physical inventory and ERP system records, • Partner with Finance to support inventory valuation and controls · Inbound Logistics Coordination • Coordinate inbound logistics and transportation activities to support plant operations, • Manage relationships with transportation providers and carriers, • Support scheduling and delivery coordination aligned with operational needs, • Identify opportunities to improve inbound transportation costs, • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely and reliable material flow · Vendor Management & Contracts • Manage key suppliers and service providers, • Develop, manage, and maintain supplier agreements and service contracts, • Conduct vendor performance reviews and evaluations, • Establish supplier review processes and continuous improvement initiatives · Systems & Process Ownership (NetSuite) • Serve as a subject matter expert for purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain workflows within NetSuite, • Ensure integrity and accuracy of purchasing, receiving, inventory, and transaction data, • Identify system and process improvement opportunities, • Train users on proper ERP and supply chain processes, • Support standardized workflows and operational discipline · Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Sales teams, • Support production continuity through effective supply chain coordination, • Facilitate communication and alignment across departments regarding material availability and operational priorities · Continuous Improvement & Risk Management • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks proactively, • Lead resolution of material shortages, logistics disruptions, and supplier issues, • Drive improvements in forecast accuracy, inventory performance, logistics efficiency, supplier reliability, and cost management, • Standardize processes and implement best practices across the supply chain function · Leadership • Directly supervise and support two Trans-Load Operators responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials through GLC’s Integrated Services operation., • Manage daily work assignments, scheduling, training, performance management, and employee development for two direct reports. Qualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred, • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory management, or manufacturing operations, • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment, • Strong ERP experience, preferably NetSuite, • Demonstrated experience in procurement, inventory control, and supplier management, • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities, • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis Preferred Qualifications • Experience with demand planning and S&OP processes, • Experience managing transportation and logistics operations, • Project management experience, • Continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing experience Key Competencies • Strategic & Operational Thinking, • Negotiation & Vendor Management, • Inventory Optimization, • Data-Driven Decision Making, • Analytical Problem Solving, • Collaboration & Relationship Building, • Integrity & Ethical Demeanor, • Pragmatic Decision Making, • Tenacity & Results Orientation, • High Energy, Initiative & Drive, • Team Leadership and Employee Development, • Operational Accountability 30-60-90 Day Roadmap for Success First 30 Days — Learn & Assess • Understand plant operations, materials, suppliers, and workflows, • Learn NetSuite purchasing and inventory processes, • Build relationships with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and suppliers, • Assess inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and current KPIs, • Resolve immediate supply or inventory issues Days 31–60 — Improve Control & Visibility • Standardize purchasing and inventory processes, • Improve inventory accuracy and cycle counting, • Reduce emergency purchases and shortages, • Launch KPI reporting and supplier performance tracking, • Strengthen communication between planning, purchasing, and operations Days 61–90 — Optimize & Lead Strategically • Drive cost savings and freight efficiencies, • Improve forecast accuracy and planning processes, • Develop supplier accountability and strategic partnerships, • Standardize workflows and ERP discipline, • Build long-term supply chain strategy and continuous improvement roadmap Measures of Success • Fewer material shortages and emergency buys, • Improved inventory accuracy and turns, • Better supplier performance and delivery reliability, • Reduced freight and procurement costs, • Strong KPI visibility and cross-functional collaboration, • Reliable, proactive supply chain operations Why Join GLC Minerals?
