Summary: Assistant Medical Director supports the Medical Director in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high standards of patient care, and implementing healthcare policies. Collaborate with medical staff to develop treatment protocols, manage clinical programs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Play a key role in quality improvement initiatives and staff training. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations. Responsibilities: • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment within practice for a specified patient population., • Provide supervision to mid-level providers to include, but not limited to, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistant and clinical programs., • Oversee the supervision of personnel, in collaboration with the Medical Director, that includes work allocation, training, problem resolution, and achieve peak productivity and performance., • Evaluates employee performance and provides recommendations for personnel actions., • In collaboration with Medical Director, oversee all utilization review activities for health services and clinical committees to include, but not limited to, Peer Review, Credentialing, and Privileging., • Enhance the development of practice protocols and clinical guidelines by working closely with the Medical Director., • Establish and sustain a dynamic provider recruitment and retention program to ensure the medical facility is consistently staffed with qualified professionals., • Engage in risk assessment and screening programs, while actively contributing to data collection efforts., • Supervise all patient education programs in partnership with the Medical Director., • Assist the Medical Director in directly supervising all professional providers, as well as Laboratory, Radiology, and medical staff., • Coordinate with medical staff, Nursing, Community Health/Public Health, Behavioral Health, Laboratory, and Radiology teams to ensure efficient daily operations and high-quality patient care., • Actively engage in all facets of the Quality Improvement program, encompassing patient, visitor, employee health and safety, infection control, security, disaster preparedness, and other initiatives that impact the quality of care delivered., • Assist in securing and maintaining accreditation, as well as obtaining necessary and additional licensing. Education Requirement - Or A Closely Related Field: Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Clinical Psychology;, • Five (5) years of current work experience in mental health, social work of psychology., • Wisconsin State Certification as an, LPC, LMFT, LCSW., • Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor or Substance Abuse Counselor License., • Three (3) years of current active clinical experience., • Three (3) years of management experience in the Health Care field., • Must be billable and reimbursable for commercial insurances, and medical assistance. Credentials: Essential: • State of Wisconsin and Federal DEA Certificaiton; Medical Specialty License or Certification; Board certified or Board Eligible in Subspecialty Area of Medical Specialty.
