Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Accounts Payable Manager with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in leading AP functions. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic, tech-forward environment and is passionate about optimizing AP processes. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AP operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments and subsidiaries. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments., • Maintain and optimize AP operations within EPICOR, ensuring data integrity and compliance., • Implement and refine best-in-class AP payment processes, driving efficiency and scalability., • Oversee AP activities across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring consistency and compliance., • Collaborate with Finance leadership (Controller, CFO) and cross-functional teams (Procurement, Sales, Operations, HR)., • Manage AP integration activities related to acquisitions, including systems, processes, and compliance., • Ensure compliance with AP regulations including 1099 reporting, sales/use tax, and other relevant policies., • Monitor and report on AP KPIs such as Days Payable Outstanding (DPO)., • Maintain vendor relationships and ensure excellent communication and issue resolution., • Support Positive Pay and OCR environments, ensuring secure and efficient processing., • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency to maintain accuracy of the accounts payable process and implement new technologies or procedures., • Manage escalated inquiries from vendors and internal staff., • Manage accounts payable ledger and ensure accuracy of data., • Assist with audits and provide necessary information., • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements., • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures., • Negotiate payment terms and conditions., • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies., • Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments., • Ability to travel as required for integration, team collaboration and in-person meetings., • Strong hands-on work ethic with a proactive approach to problem-solving., • The ability to manage large volumes of data and maintain accurate records is critical., • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • Effective communication and negotiation skills, • Experience in a Positive Pay and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) environment., • General tech-savviness and adaptable to emerging technologies., • Strong AP and overall experience with EPICOR or a comparable leading industrial ERP., • Proven success in implementing efficient AP processes and systems., • Excellent internal and external communication skills., • Comfortable managing a team and interacting with senior leadership., • Bachelor's or Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field., • 5+ years as a bona fide Accounts Payable Manager., • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. At any one of the Value Added Companies (VAC), the environment can be associated with manufacturing, office, retail, and laboratory. The manufacturing environment and laboratory requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined by each facility. PPE could include eye protection, face shield, gloves, masks, and closed toed shoes. The manufacturing environment is not always climate controlled and may become warm in the summer and cooler in the winter. The office space is climate controlled by the season and location of the facility. This position will require sitting for long periods of time to perform the required duties, frequently speaking with sales, customers, and coworkers. The individual will require fine motor skills, using hands, fingers, and arms, operating office equipment, ability to read customer information, service tickets, and follow screen prompts.
