Job DescriptionDescription: Our Mission: YouthVantage Alliance, the home of Girls Inc. of Tarrant County (dba), is to deliver high-quality, research-informed mentorship programs tailored to the developmental needs of children and teens. Position Summary: The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, facilitating and providing mentorship for youth with programs focused on confidence, emotional intelligence, self-advocacy, critical thinking, kindness and respect. This position will serve 75-100 youth annually, facilitating sessions during school hours and after school. Each session will include 15-20 youth, with in-school sessions lasting 50 minutes and after-school sessions lasting 1-2 hours. As the key liaison between schools and the organization, the coordinator will integrate into each school’s culture, working with youth from elementary to high school. This position works closely with our program managers who coordinate STEM, college readiness, and workforce readiness programs. This role is part-time, Monday to Friday, and typically operates between 8 am and 6 pm, with occasional Saturdays and evenings during the school year and summer. Requirements: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: Program Recruitment and Delivery • Deliver agency-approved programs, • Collaborate with STEM, Future Ready teams to provide youth with additional program opportunities, • Assist in developing lesson plans using organizational resources to ensure program effectiveness, • Serve as the liaison between students, families, and school staff, fostering consistent communication and program integration, • Support recruitment and retention efforts by generating community interest, • Collect and manage attendance, impact data, and program outcomes to meet grant and contract requirements, • Collect, track, and submit all required documentation and reports for program participants and activities in a timely and accurate manner, • Oversee and support volunteers and interns, ensuring they are equipped to assist in program delivery, • Regularly assess personal performance and set professional goals, • Attend staff meetings, town halls, and principal meetings; collaborate with staff to meet goals and engage the community in offering youth programs, • Bachelor’s degree in any field; education preferred, • Experience in youth programs, lesson planning, facilitation skills and building relationships with students, families, and schools, • Strong emotional intelligence with a passion for working with diverse groups, • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with program participants, parents/guardians, and professionals, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant technology tools (Google Docs, data entry software, CANVA, Adobe, etc.), • Possess reliable transportation, a valid Texas driver’s license, and a clear driving record This position requires the ability to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment, and the physical ability to perform light lifting. Work is typically performed in an office, in the community, or classroom setting, and may involve standing, stooping, bending, and walking. However, the agency will make accommodations when necessary. This person may be required to travel to various locations throughout Tarrant County. Generally, the working conditions have little or no exposure to extremes in safety hazards or hazardous materials.
