Job DescriptionSalary: $57,274 - $64,462 Position Summary: The Campus Supervisor provides leadership in the management of Everstands Caminos Program, implementing agency policies and procedures to ensure that operations occur in a calm, structured and orderly manner. They provide support, coaching and direction to staff, youth and families and effectively work as a member of the interdisciplinary team. The Campus Supervisor demonstrates excellence in problem solving, communication, and documentation. Serves as a liaison with community partners by maintaining positive professional relationships and offering high quality customer service. Serves in partnership with the On-Call Administrator in support of managing staff coverage and ratio needs. Make it happen., • Maintain effective working relationships with children/youth, colleagues, external stakeholders, and community agencies., • Provide accurate, detailed and timely information to the designated Administrator on Call; reporting any health and safety concerns, environmental and motor vehicle accidents, arrests, serious hospitalizations and major campus or community incidents., • Ensure that the campus is operating within the regulatory staffing ratios for the program and/or to meet identified safety needs of the program. Reports attempts to find coverage to the Administrator on Call when requesting to activate the Mandatory on Call Staff, utilize OT or initiate freeze / blackout day protocols., • Provide accurate, detailed and timely information to the Administrator on Call when requesting to activate the therapist on call. Contact the TOC with accurate and detailed information related to the childs behavioral health emergency., • Communicate medical emergencies to the Nurse on Call. If a child needs off-site treatment, in the absence of the nurse, the Campus Supervisor gathers any relevant paperwork needed., • Conduct hourly rounds and radio checks to ensure youth supervision and adherence to schedules, providing oversight, coaching, and guidance to the staff and youth. Checks the logbooks during these rounds to ensure that documentation is current and consistent with the current activity., • Complete the mandatory monthly fire drill in accordance with agency procedures and the WV Fire Marshals standard procedures., • Utilize and mentor direct care staff to implement specialized training provided to prevent and support youth that are experiencing acting dysregulated behavior. Contribute to the prevention and management of challenging behaviors by implementing the Everstands Behavior Management and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention techniques., • Provide support, feedback and accountability to staff regarding health and safety concerns., • Collaborates with and provides support to the Unit Supervisors with regards to job assignments, emergency situations, feedback to incidents, and scheduling., • Ensure the completion of documentation in accordance with agency standards, federal and state regulations. This includes, but is not limited to:, • Radio checks, Announced and Unannounced Rounds., • Campus Supervisor Shift Report, • Youth Activity and Daily Living Reports, • Child Level Events / Significant Incident Reports, • Phone Logs, • Allowance Logs, • Ensure that all staff call outs are accurately recorded into Everstands attendance tracking system., • Participate in a pre-shift huddle with the exiting Unit Supervisors and Youth Care Professionals., • Ensure accurate medication administration, documentation and safe storage of medication in accordance with the guidelines of agency procedures as well as state and federal requirements., • Assist staff in ensuring that vehicles are rotated and/or shared to help support the transportation needs of the campus., • Promote effective communication through timely documentation and participation in weekly team meetings., • Participate in each youths Interdisciplinary Treatment Team for treatment and discharge planning, providing clear written and verbal communication., • Provide written documentation addressing policy violations that occur in the absence of the staffs assigned supervisor., • Professionally interacts both by phone and in person with stakeholders, community partners and visitors., • Ensure that the staff to resident ratio is adequate and consistent with the state and federal requirements, providing support with ratio when needed and, ensuring there is twenty-four hour and seven days a week coverage., • Share expertise and skills through conducting job-related trainings for staff, either as part of New Hire Orientation or on a rotational basis., • Provide leadership to ensure completion of steps to prepare unit to receive new intakes, greeting new intakes upon arrival and providing each youth with a warm welcome to the program. Support required intake tasks to ensure regulatory protocols are adhered to., • Provide leadership to prepare for and coordinate resident discharges by completing required discharge documentation, reviewing required documentation with the resident, processing the discharge of the resident from the UC portal and generating UC portal discharge documentation including the Verification of Release form., • Demonstrate knowledge of and familiarity with both Everstand and Office of Refugee Resettlement Policy and Procedures relating to the care and supervision of Unaccompanied Children. This includes knowledge of legal background and authority governing the practice as related to working with Unaccompanied Children., • Demonstrate an understanding of daily routines and the need for consistency within the unit., • Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to complete accurate bi-weekly timesheets., • Demonstrate the ability to complete an accurate staff schedule, while minimizing and/or eliminating overtime., • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of unit systems, and effectively oversees their completion., • Demonstrate an understanding of health and safety standards through ensuring compliance throughout the agency., • Demonstrate the ability to receive, transmit, store and retrieve information as evidenced through written documentation in internal, external and verbal communication., • Obtain and maintain certification as a user in Everstands electronic health record software system and required federal databases. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets. In the nature of being in a behavioral health treatment environment there may be times you experience conditions in which challenging behavior can be exhibited from our youth to include but not limited to, physical agitation, physical violence and/or emotion outburst. This job operates in an unpredictable work environment. At times, you may be required to stay later than your scheduled shift to ensure documentation is completed, and required ratios are maintained. Due to the nature of the populations served, there is a physical component to behavioral interventions that requires direct care roles to be able to safely perform physical restraints, when necessary, as outlined and trained via Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible to include evening and weekend hours at both on-site and off-site locations. The position is essential for weather emergencies. Eligible for flex schedule within the pay week per Everstands policy and supervisor approval. Travel Travel to and from other Everstand locations is expected. At times out of State travel may be required to assist in transporting a youth. Required Education and Experience • An associates degree and/or 60 credit hours from an accredited college/university with 3 years work experience with children., • 1 year of supervisory or management experience Preferred Education and Experience • A masters degree with one year supervisory or management experience., • Must be certified in Medication Administration through the State of West Virginia during employment.
