The Grants Manager will have primary responsibility for day-to-day management of the Agencys grant portfolio, prospecting and maintaining a pipeline of public, private, and corporate grant proposals. Major responsibilities include managing the grant calendar and leading weekly grant meetings; substantial grant writing in response to complicated public and private RFPs to support CCEWs human services, housing, and capital programs; supporting the Grant Writer in developing and revising proposals; collaborating with the Grant Administrator I to successfully manage the lifecycle of all Agency Grants; working closely with CCEWs Finance and program teams, especially working with the Senior Leadership Team and Leadership Team to scope and execute proposals; and collaborating closely with the Finance Team to develop budgets and manage the grant lifecycle. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of this job. • Managing day-to-day operations of the Grants Team, including owning and maintaining the grant pipeline and calendar by anticipating upcoming grant proposals; leading Grants lifecycle management; leading weekly Grants Meeting to review current projects and upcoming deadlines; supervising the Grant Writer to submit proposals and manage the grant lifecycle; collaborating with the Grant Administrator I to submit reports; troubleshooting challenges that arise with existing grants and contracts; interfacing with Administrative and Programmatic teams as needed; and addressing other issues to maintain an effective and efficient grants process., • Take primary responsibility for developing and submitting large and complex grant proposals under deadline pressure in response to public and private RFP, NOFA, and other RFX documents. Proposal content will vary widely to support human services programs, housing, and capital projects that fulfill the Agencys greatest needs as determined by the Senior Leadership Team., • Collaborating as part of the Grants Team and broader Community Relations team to support strategic fundraising goals, including supporting the Director of Grants and Proposal Management in developing and executing strategy to cultivate major grant funders and secure major grants, • Maintaining the Grants Team submission calendar, including continuously updating the Weekly opportunity checklist and forecasting annual, quarterly, and monthly submission deadlines., • Collaborate with Grant Administrator I to track and manage all opportunity tasks in Salesforce NPSP to ensure CCEW remains in compliance with all funder requirements., • Use Salesforce NPSP and Microsoft Teams to manage Grants Team operations., • Give and receive feedback on proposal content in a professional manner that supports the best possible outcomes for the Agency., • Proactively communicate with funders to ascertain upcoming grants requirements and deadlines., • Developing high-quality funding proposal packages and written products, including but not limited to letters of intent; technical, management, and budget narratives; budget documents; programmatic and financial reports; and a wide variety of attachments in the style appropriate for the specific funding source., • Facilitating and participating in collaborative review processes., • Using databases and other methods to research current and prospective funders and funding opportunities to inform grant strategies, records, and materials., • Reviewing and assessing funding opportunities for strategic alignment with organization needs., • Maintaining a working knowledge of the interests and expectations of public and private funders., • Communicating with and developing relationships with funders and updating Grants Team and other organization staff with pertinent information on funders and opportunities., • Conducting independent research to develop application materials., • Support Director of Proposals and Grants Management to leverage closed AI systems in proposal development., • Developing broad working knowledge of Catholic Charities programming., • Supporting grants lifecycle management through pre-award, award, and post-award stages., • Maintaining official Agency grant files., • Attending Catholic Charities events and donor/funder cultivation events as directed., • Complete professional work and communicate professionally while under deadline pressure., • Work non-standard hours as needed to support proposal submissions., • Collaborate as part of the Grants Team and broader Community Relations team to support strategic fundraising goals., • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion, including salary and budget information, Agency strategy, client information, and similar sensitive material., • Collaborate effectively and professionally with Agency workgroups in support of the fundraising goals of the Agency, especially the Finance Department and Community Relations Department, and other CCEW administrative teams., • Provide a professional, high-level of customer service to internal and external Grants Team and Catholic Charities partners., • Use appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)., • Regularly use all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor., • As a mandated reporter, follow all procedures outlined in agency policies and procedures to report to the proper agency when there is suspicion and/or confirmation that a child or adult has been a victim of abuse or neglect., • Adhere to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine., • Perform as a team member to assure that productivity outcome measures are achieved., • Perform related functions as assigned to support program success and the mission and core values of Catholic Charities. Job Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job. Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have: • Bachelors degree in English, Technical/Professional Writing, Journalism, Public Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters preferred., • 35 years experience writing technically complex grant proposals., • 13 years experience leading grant programs., • Demonstrated capacity and experience in developing, reviewing, and revising grant proposals without the aid of AI., • Experience writing grants for human services programs, affordable housing development, and federal and state programs preferred. Certificates/Licenses: • To perform this job successfully, an individual must successfully pass background check as required for position., • CFRE and/or GPC preferred.
