The ASPCA’s Community Medicine (CM) team provides expert veterinary care to support the welfare of animals and their people through our stationary and mobile veterinary clinics, serving underserved communities in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. We help pet owners overcome barriers to care, bringing quality services directly to the communities that need us most and partially or fully subsidizing the cost of basic and preventive care. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Medical Leadership & Oversight • Provide overall leadership of the medical service line across all wellness centers, • Establish and maintain standards for clinical care, ensuring consistency, quality, and patient safety, • Serve as a senior clinical resource for complex or high-risk cases as needed, • Support a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, and accountability Clinical Strategy & Medical Program Development • Lead the development and evolution of medical program, services, and care models, • Identify opportunities to expand and enhance medical offerings in alignment with client needs and organizational growth, • Partner with leadership on new business opportunities and medical program design, • Support innovation in medical care delivery within a concierge model Clinical Governance, Quality & Compliance • Oversee clinical policies, protocols, and best practices across the medical service line, • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, clinical standards, and internal policies, • Support audit readiness and participate in clinical reviews, including external audits, • Monitor clinical quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives Provider Leadership & Team Development • Provide leadership and oversight of the medical provider team in partnership with the Associate Head of Medical Services, • Support provider development, mentorship, and performance management, • Collaborate on onboarding, training, and ongoing education of providers, • Foster a cohesive, high-performing clinical team environment Operational Partnership • Partner closely with the Head of Clinical Operations & Strategy to align clinical care delivery with operational systems and workflows, • Support decisions related to staffing models, scheduling structures, and capacity planning, • Collaborate to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care across all sites Cross-Service Line Collaboration • Work collaboratively with MSK and Mental Health leadership to support integrated, multidisciplinary care, • Promote alignment across service lines to enhance patient outcomes and experience Clinical Responsibilities • May maintain a limited clinical schedule, based on organizational needs and role focus Leadership Structure & Collaboration • Serves as the senior leader of the medical service line, • Works closely with the Associate Head of Medical Services, who supports provider oversight, clinical operations, and care delivery across sites, • Partners with the Head of Clinical Operations & Strategy and other service line leaders Qualifications • MD or DO required, • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related field, • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in clinical leadership or program development, • Strong understanding of outpatient care delivery models, • Experience working in multidisciplinary or integrated care environments preferred, • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

The Behavioral Health Supervisor is responsible for providing concrete services and psychotherapeutic interventions for Betances Health Center patients and family members referred to mental health services by Betances medical providers. The Behavioral Health Supervisor will report to and be under the daily supervision of the Associate Medical Director. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop mental health services as an integral part of primary care and ensuring that these services meet regulatory guidelines by qualified providers., • Provides group work treatment and social casework for patients and their families; serve as a member of the treatment team, working with other disciplines in diagnosing problems, formulating treatment plans and evaluating progress., • Monitor mental health documentation and billing to ensure that revenue is maximized., • Oversees the coordination, development and implementation of patient mental health (and or social service) treatment plans., • Complete statistical and other reports as required by Betances Health Center., • Develop, implement and oversee quality improvement activities related to Social Programs., • Participate in grant writing., • Provide clinical supervision to all behavioral Health staff., • Oversee the administrative and clinical aspects of the: Mental Health programs., • Staff supervision; education and training; implementation of programs, procedure and systems; program planning and development; monitor quality assurance to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of services., • Oversees staff scheduling and coverage to ensure provision of social work/mental health services and patient access to care., • Develops policies and procedures in consultation with Medical Director, Ensuring implementation and compliance with program and Betances’ policies., • Develops, implements and maintains systems for data collection and statistical reporting., • Assist with mediation, problem –solving and conflict resolution., • Monitors patient satisfaction., • Attend departmental/Center-wide meetings as required., • Perform other related duties, as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, SKILL AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: • LCSW (with P or R category) and 3 to 5 years of experience in a medical or health related setting, working directly with HIV patients., • Extensive knowledge of a psychodynamic treatment methodology, theory and principles of human behavior, social work theory and practice., • Knowledge of the cultures and ethnic diversity of New York City’s population, particularly Hispanics and African Americans, and understanding of the special medical and psychosocial needs of patients living with HIV., • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills., • Must be assertive, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously., • Basic computer proficiency; EMR a plus, • Spanish Speaking preferred.

Supervision & Leadership • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to assigned staff, students, or interns., • Evaluate performance and provide feedback to support professional development., • Demonstrate leadership by contributing to policy development, staff training, and program improvement initiatives. Compliance Responsibilities • Adhere to institutional policies including the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy., • Maintain awareness of all applicable federal, state, and university regulations governing mental health services.
