The Activity Director, Arts & Crafts will report to the Camp Director and will be responsible for designing, planning and executing a successful and fulfilling Camp’s Arts & Crafts program. WHAT YOU’LL DO The Activity Director, Arts & Crafts must complete all tasks and assignments assigned by the Camp Director, including but not limited to: • Order necessary art supplies and equipment for six weeks of camp activities, • Plan and implement engaging arts and crafts projects for campers ranging in ages from 5 years old to 10 years old, • Teach and encourage creativity through various mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and seasonal crafts, • Create a safe, organized, and inspiring art space for campers, • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure proper clean-up and storage of materials, • Support campers in developing fine motor skills, creativity, and self-expression, • There will also be two pre-camp orientations to attend, • Must have prior experience in visual arts, art education, or related creative fields, • Certified Teacher or experience working with children, • Strong organizational and classroom management skills, • Ability to plan age-appropriate creative projects, • Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic working with children, • Must complete all team member orientations, trainings, and documents prior to start of Camp, • Must possess strong leadership skills, with an eye toward innovation, • Presence at camp during camp operational hours, beginning Monday, June 29 until Friday, August 7, Monday–Friday.
