Job DescriptionMidwife Woman's Way is excited to expand our private growing practice! It is midwifery at its fullest and best capacity. Midwife would be a per-diem staff member for Woman's Way to be delivered at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. Midwives work independently with admission and management privileges. We have a collaboration agreement with the Attending Physician Hospitalist on duty when deemed necessary for consultation or need for any surgical intervention. Position Specific Responsibilities: CM/CNM will be responsible for only Woman's Way Medical patients which consist of generally low risk patients. Hours: The call schedule would be flexible based on your availability and need. Typical coverage will be 12hr calls. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Licensure: Current license and registration as a Registered Professional Nurse (if CNM) and a Licensed Midwife (CNM/CM) in New York State with prescriptive privileges. Education: Doctorate or Masters Degree in Midwifery from an accredited Midwifery Program. Credentialed through the Credentialing Committee of the Medical Board with approved Delineation of Privileges. National certification with the American Midwifery Board Certification (AMCB) is required. DEA certificate helpful but not a must. First Assist Cesarean Certification is helpful for continuity of care. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, creative problem solving and excellent critical thinking and leadership; Previously demonstrated ability to facilitate group processes and work cohesively and collaboratively as member of the interdisciplinary team; Effective change agent; Membership in related professional specialty organizations desirable; Electronic Fetal Monitoring Credentialing as applicable, NRP certification is mandatory but may be provided at Montefiore Nyack Hospital as applicable, Basic Life Support certification; Department Drills/Skills participation; Infection Control Certification every 4 years. Must have at least 3 years of midwifery experience. Per-diem rate is negotiable and based on clinical experience. Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS (if CNM), Midwifery Certification-NYS Preferred Qualifications: Membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred. With a team of over 900 staff and an annual budget of $130 million, the Center carries out its mission through three core strategies: • Operating Programs that pilot new ideas and address local challenges;, • Conducting original research to evaluate what works—and what doesn’t; and THE OPPORTUNITY The New Rochelle Community Justice Center, one of the Center’s newest projects, aims to improve outcomes for New Rochelle youth and emerging adults by developing a collective impact approach that invests in criminal legal system responses and community-led safety. Building on the Center’s successful court- and -community-based project models such as Bronx Community Solutions and the Brownsville Community Justice Center, New Rochelle Community Justice Center brings together a range of court- and community-based partnerships to create and enhance a more equitable and safer community. The New Rochelle Community Justice Center is seeking a Program Associate for its DREAM (Developmental Resources for Emerging Adult Members) and YJEP (Youth Justice and Equity Program) programs. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Program Associate will lead the presentation of workshop curriculum objectives and activities, while also coaching and supporting program participants towards individual goals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Assist with the creation and development of program curricula and workshops that promote essential life skills and wellness for emerging and young adults;, • Lead multi-week training cohorts that include discussions on personal development, future outlook, and civic engagement;, • Build and maintain a caseload of participants, and develop and implement a personalized individual action plan with each participant;, • Provide participant coaching toward stated goals and identify areas of opportunity for referrals or further development;, • Contribute to data collection and management using Salesforce and other tools;, • Maintain electronic program materials;, • Represent NRCJC and its interests at meetings and events as assigned; and, • Additional tasks as necessary.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and preferably 1-2 years of related experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 5-6 years of relevant experience facilitating workshops or holding group discussions or restorative circles.
