Job Description Position Title: Cultivation Technician Position Report To: Facility Manager POSITION SUMMARY: August Tenth Capital Investments — operating under our new cannabis brand “My Dad’s Stash” — is launching a state-of-the-art cultivation facility in the coming months. We are building a passionate team excited to join a ground-floor startup environment and help shape the future of one of New Jersey’s newest adult-use cannabis operations. We seek a Cultivation Technician who will provide hands-on support across multiple gardens within the facility. As a Cultivation Technician, you are responsible for maintaining quality control, ensuring plant health from propagation through pre-harvest, and supporting daily cultivation tasks with consistency, accuracy, and professionalism. Technicians may also be cross-trained to assist with other departments as operational needs grow. RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific responsibilities include: • Provide on-site support inside multiple cultivation rooms throughout the facility., • Ensure the health and safety of all plants during every stage of growth, from propagation to pre-harvest., • Support a wide range of plant-care tasks including fertilization, irrigation, pruning, training, cloning, topping, defoliation, and IPM monitoring., • Maintain strict adherence to company SOPs, safety standards, and quality control procedures., • Assist with environmental monitoring, including humidity, temperature, lighting, and air movement observations., • Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure all tools, equipment, and cultivation zones meet sanitation standards., • Immediately report equipment malfunctions, environmental concerns, or plant irregularities to the Cultivation Manager., • Perform daily plant inspections for pests, nutrient deficiencies, diseases, mold, and overall plant appearance. Requires adequate vision, including the ability to see color and adjust focus., • Follow plant scheduling and contribute to accurate forecasting of plant needs and production timelines., • Track, label, and organize plants from clone through harvest using the facility’s tracking system; assist with METRC entries as directed., • Record all nutrient applications, foliar treatments, and plant-care actions in cultivation logs., • Regularly clean and maintain cultivation tools, light reflectors, irrigation components, containers, and workspace surfaces., • Assist cultivation, harvest, and post-harvest teams during peak periods to meet facility production goals., • Work safely around bright horticultural lighting, humid environments, fertilizers, and cleaning agents while wearing required PPE., • Lift, move, or carry supplies, plants, or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs as needed., • Occasionally work near moving mechanical equipment and electrical components., • Perform other duties as assigned by management. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate must have most, if not all, of the following skills and experiences: • One to three years of relevant experience in cannabis cultivation, agriculture, greenhouse work, or production environments., • Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to plant health and quality., • Positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment., • Knowledgeable about cannabis strains, plant structure, growth patterns, and basic cultivation practices., • Ability to work in warm, humid grow rooms and around soil, water, nutrients, disinfectants, and allergens., • Ability to safely climb, bend, twist, lift, kneel, and stand for at least 8 hours per day., • Frequent use of hands and wrists for pruning, transplanting, trimming, lifting, and equipment handling., • Ability to lift 50 pounds., • Creative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities., • Available to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends, and holidays during peak production or harvest cycles., • Must be 21 years of age or older and able to meet all NJ CRC requirements, including fingerprinting, background checks, and agent registration., • Must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and SOPs. EDUCATION: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
