Job DescriptionJob Title: HVAC Installer (Construction)Job Summary The HVAC Installer is responsible for the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal components on construction sites. This role supports commercial and/or industrial construction projects and requires experience working from blueprints, using hand and power tools, and installing sheet metal systems in accordance with job specifications and safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and project specifications, • Install sheet metal systems such as ductwork, vents, flashing, panels, and related components on construction sites, • Layout and mark dimensions and reference points on materials for fabrication and installation, • Operate hand and power tools such as shears, brakes, drills, grinders, and other metal‑forming equipment, • Modify, trim, grind, and finish sheet metal parts to ensure proper fit and clean installation, • Secure sheet metal components using fasteners, welding, soldering, or mechanical connections as required, • Inspect finished work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements, • Follow all job site safety rules and construction safety standards, • Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete work efficiently and safelyRequired Qualifications, • Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic in a construction environment, • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions, • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques, • Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools related to sheet metal work, • Ability to measure accurately and perform layout work, • Physically able to lift materials, work at heights, and perform manual labor on active construction sites, • Reliable, safety‑focused, and able to work independently or as part of a crewPreferred Qualifications, • Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects, • Familiarity with HVAC ductwork installation or architectural sheet metal, • Safety training or relevant construction certifications Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
