Job Description Summary: Safe Horizon manages a 5-year grant by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to raise the standard of care for traumatized children in New York City. REACH focuses on school-aged children and older through the implementation of anti-oppressive, age-appropriate trauma interventions. The Director SAMHSA Child Trauma Initiatives is responsible for integrating the staff development and direct service components of REACH to facilitate their implementation in Safe Horizon’s child trauma cluster which includes our Safe Horizon Counseling Center (SHCC), Child Advocacy Centers (CACs), Child Trauma Response Team (CTRT), and Safe Way Forward (SWF) program. The Director will continue to serve as Principal Investigator (PI) of REACH initiative. They will be responsible for the activities of the program to provide all our clients, school-age children up to age 17 and their families, with a service experience while maintaining data collection systems, evaluation programs, and maintaining full compliance with all federal regulations and reporting requirements for the program The Director also ensures the implementation of effective evaluation measures and completion of all client-level assessments and data gathering that is required for REACH. The Director will report to and collaborate regularly with the Vice President Children and Mental Health on REACH administration activities. Job Overview: The Senior Inventory Controls Coordinator is responsible for managing all inventory in the Food Rescue Center (FRC) of which 79% are perishable items. This includes but is not limited to all food that is stored in the FRC and product that is being stored by third-party organizations in the FRC. They will help maintain food quality by regular inventory checks and counts that will occur on a regular basis. They will work with the Procurement & Inventory Controls Manager, on reconciling virtual and physical inventory and will be an integral part of managing entries into multiple City Harvest systems. The Senior Inventory Controls Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the lowest possible amount of waste within the FRC. They will work with key internal operational teams including Warehouse, Supply Chain, Volunteer Services, Business Intelligence, Program Operations, Food Transport, Supply Chain Command Center and the Mobile Market team to understand and monitor the full lifecycle of our food through the warehouse and will support identifying and implementing areas for improvement. This role reports to the Director, Procurement & Inventory Controls and is fully on-site in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Roles and Responsibilities: Physical Inventory and Quality Assurance: • Oversee receiving process for all inbound loads to FRC. Work with the Warehouse team to ensure that product is stored in correct areas and that all weights and item codes associated with inbound loads are correct., • Ensure product is shipped before expiration, working to minimize waste and increase inventory throughput, with an emphasis on perishables and produce., • Conduct daily warehouse inspections with the specific goal of overseeing expiration dates, food safety (cold chain and temperature zones) and quality monitoring., • Accurately manage inventory being stored in FRC by third parties. Systems and Documentation: • Support efforts to streamline current WMS and IMS systems alongside the Manager, Procurement & Inventory Controls., • Assist the Procurement & Inventory Controls Manager to create and maintain, as appropriate, detailed formal procedures which document every step necessary to perform inventory transactions (SOP creation and maintenance). As needed, deliver dynamic inventory data and reporting for analysis., • Manage the accuracy and compliance of inventory policies and procedures, with a goal of consistent adherence, in support of internal and external audit requirements. Cycle Counting and Audits: • Implement and lead physical end-of-year (EOY) inventory counts, ensure that other areas of SC team are familiar with process and goals., • Oversee City Harvest’s formal cycle counting program. Elements of the program include:, • Leading the cycle counting process and auditing the results., • Analysis and resolution of inventory discrepancies discovered., • Root cause analysis, problem resolution, retraining as necessary, and reporting of results., • Support audits and inspections by any and all regulatory agencies., • Lead special projects as appropriate., • Maintain AIB standards and actively participate in preparing for audits., • Stay up to date on any internal or external trainings and best practices. Repacks and Receipting: • Oversee inventory for City Harvest repacks. Ensure that all repacks have appropriate product types and quantities., • Manage data collection for repacks so that product can be reconciled in a timely manner., • Reconcile all repacks in a timely and accurate manner to ensure that repacked product does not stagnate at FRC., • Receipt all City Harvest pounds to various food providers (Feeding America, Feed the children, Etc.) Job Description STEPS Criminalized Survivors Program - Rising Ground’s anti-intimate partner violence program - offers a variety of trauma-informed, anti-oppressive programming focused on the prevention of intimate partner violence (IPV); advocacy and healing for survivors and children impacted by abusive partner behavior; and training intended to increase awareness of the epidemic of gender-based violence. Since the program's founding in 1986, STEPS has been deliberately dedicated to engaging in work that is innovative and deeply survivor-centered and works to promote the idea that support for survivors of IPV that is not aligned with anti-oppressive, anti-racist, feminist/womanist principles tends to unintentionally mimic systems of oppression, and is ultimately, re-traumatizing and ineffective. For over 30 years, the STEPS Criminalized Survivors Program has offered comprehensive clinical and legal support services to survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) or other forms of gender- based violence (GBV) who have been criminalized for their efforts to survive or resist abusive partner behavior. We support survivors facing felony and/or misdemeanor charges in any borough. In addition, STEPS CSP has a designated Advocate/Counselor serving criminalized survivors on- site at the Manhattan and Brooklyn Family Justice Centers, and a Training team that helps lead the City's whole-City response to criminalized survivors. About the Role The Clinical Advocate will provide direct counseling and emotional support, rigorous advocacy, and case management to criminalized survivors facing felony and/or misdemeanor charges in any borough, and will provide aftercare as needed.
