Job Description Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician (MAVT)/ Motor Assistance Vehicle Operator (MAVO) SUMMARY: The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is responsible for all aspects of patients’ care within the scope of certification. Essential Job Functions The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is an integral part of the Virgo transportation team. In this position the MAVT/MAVO transports ambulatory patients to and from residences and or skilled nursing facilities to medical treatments and or appointments, and then return them. Some of the patients are able to ambulate to our vehicles while other must be moved in their wheelchairs, or are able to move on their electric scooters. No person is to ride the lift while standing, or on the electric scooter. The patients are placed in a wheelchair to go up on the lift, and they are moved inside and secured to the vehicle either on the bench seat or in the wheelchair. Should there be an aide or family member accompanying the patient, they must be secured in the vehicle as well. The MAVT/MAVO must check to see if any belongings or paperwork must accompany the patient for the transport, and then ensure that it gets dropped off with the patient. For each trip the appropriate documentation must be filled out, and where required, obtain the necessary signatures from the patient and /or facility. In the event monies are to be collected at time of service, a receipt is to be filled out and a copy given to the patient, or the person accompanying the patient. The MAVT/MAVO must be capable of good oral communications as for every leg of the trip dispatch must be communicated with, as to alert them to the status of the transport. In addition should any incident occur dispatch must be notified in a timely manner. The vehicle being used for any particular shift must be checked both prior and post usage for mechanical operations, fluids, and general cleanliness. The MAVT/MAVO must be able to utilize maps in order to locate facilities or residences that they are not aware of, with the assistance of dispatch. At the conclusion of the MAVT’s/MAVO's shift they must turn in the appropriate paperwork, and monies collected. Under the direct supervision of the Education and Disabilities Coordinator, the Home Visitor shall be responsible for: • Maintaining a caseload of (12) participants, • Providing 90-minute weekly home visits to support parents/guardians in their roles as primary caregivers and to facilitate the child’s individual development within their home environments, • Providing regularly scheduled home visits with enrolled pregnant women to ensure access to comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care and to provide prenatal education on topics such as fetal development, labor and delivery, postpartum recovery (including maternal depression), and the benefits of breastfeeding., • In collaboration with the Education Coordinator and assigned staff, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate, parent/child focused Group Socializations twice per month, • Assisting parents in identifying strengths and goals leading to school readiness, • Working in collaboration with families to identify goals for themselves, their families and their child, and developing objectives for meeting those goals for the Family Partnership Agreement, • Record Keeping: Enters child and family information into the approved child tracking system database (COPA & ACS/DOE systems). Assist with collecting child health medicals and dentals along with entering health related data into COPA. Submits reports as needed and requested, such as monthly summary tracking reports, etc. Maintains and provides data for the annual Program Information Report (PIR). What is a Dance Specialist: Summer Dance Activity Specialists are responsible for leading summer day camp programming for children and teens at New York Edge summer day camp sites.
