Our team resolves and anticipates customer questions, builds training infrastructure that empowers self-service, creates process models that anchor our help center, and collaborates closely with Product and Science teams to drive technical innovation. The work is varied, technically challenging, and genuinely impactful. Your Role: As an Application Engineer on the Support Team, you will be a technical resource that customers and colleagues alike rely on. You’ll collaborate with account managers, scientists, product managers, and fellow engineers to diagnose complex support issues, develop reproducible process models, and translate OLI’s deep electrolyte chemistry into practical guidance. This role is built for someone who takes initiative, digs into hard problems independently, and takes satisfaction in turning a customer’s frustration into a win. You’ll work with customers across upstream oil & gas, refining, water treatment, lithium and critical materials extraction, and carbon capture—supporting use cases that range from scale prediction and corrosion modeling to thermodynamic validation and process API integration. No two support tickets look the same, and that’s the point. About OLI: OLI is the global standard for electrolyte chemistry simulation, with over 50 years of peer-reviewed science embedded in its platform. More than 500 enterprises and academic institutions across 35+ countries rely on OLI software to make confident, defensible engineering decisions—predicting scale formation, modeling corrosion, simulating extraction and refining processes, and optimizing water chemistry from reservoir to wellhead to facility. Our customers include energy majors, lithium producers, NASA, and leading water treatment operators. We are building the digital infrastructure that makes complex chemistry computable, accessible, and actionable in real time through our cloud platform and OLI Process API.
