Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics Location: Bronx, NY 10461 Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3 x 11.5-hour shifts Duration: 14 Weeks Weekly Hours: 34.5 Hours Position Overview A reputable acute care hospital in Bronx, New York is seeking a skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a 14-week assignment. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong medical-surgical and pediatric nursing experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to manage multiple patient care priorities effectively. The RN will work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting, • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans, • Monitor patient conditions and promptly report any changes or complications, • Administer medications and maintain accurate medication documentation, • Perform physical assessments, vital sign monitoring, and clinical evaluations, • Provide wound care, IV therapy, and catheter insertion as needed, • Maintain strict infection control and patient safety standards, • Operate and manage specialized medical equipment appropriately, • Document all patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR), • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions, • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care, • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standardsRequired Qualifications, • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited program, • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license, • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, • Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience in a large acute care hospital, • Recent acute care experience within the last 12 months, • Strong clinical skills in assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, infection control, and telemetry monitoring, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishPreferred Qualifications, • Experience with EPIC EMR system, • Prior pediatric nursing experience, • Experience working in high-acuity, high-volume hospital settings For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
