Who You Are: We’re looking for a motivated Women’s Footwear Designer to support the Outlet/Cutup design team. This role will support the Design Director, Senior Designer, and Technical Designer through the full development cycle. POSITION SUMMARY: A Caseworker works with children and youth who reside in a foster home. The foster parents can either be relatives or individuals who are not related to the children. Caseworkers work as a team with Socio-Therapists to provide supports to the children, the foster parents, and the birth families to ensure that every child is making progress towards permanency. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • As part of an interdisciplinary team the Peer Specialist will be responsible for supporting a caseload of 15–20 high-needs (serious mental illness, substance use, homelessness) participants at a time, providing face-to-face, telephonic, and community Peer recovery support and advocacy., • Establish supportive, peer-based relationships grounded in trust, mutual respect, and shared experience, • Provide one-on-one peer mentoring, advocacy, and emotional support to program participants, • Assist participants in identifying goals related to housing, employment, wellness, sobriety, and social connection, • Accompany participants to court appearances, community appointments, or service referrals as needed, • Support participants in navigating court requirements, probation/parole expectations, and community service obligations, • Provide court-based Peer support to participants upon completion of arraignment, identifying immediate needs or concerns, and facilitating immediate connections to community-based services, • Facilitate or co-facilitate peer-led groups focused on recovery, emotional regulation, life skills, and reentry planning, • Collaborate with case managers and legal advocates to ensure participant needs and preferences are understood and honored, • Participate in regular supervision, peer development meetings, and trainings related to harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and justice-system navigation, • Document participant engagement and progress in a timely manner in an electronic case management system in accordance with program guidelines and confidentiality requirements, • HS Diploma or equivalency required, • NYS Peer Specialist certification (CPS) OR Recovery Peer Advocate certification (CRPA) required. Certification must be maintained and kept current while employed in this position., • 2 years of professional experience as a Peer Specialist, Peer Advocate, Peer Navigator, or Peer Counselor in a Behavioral Health or Criminal Justice setting required, • Personal lived experience with the criminal legal system and/or recovery from substance use, mental health, or homelessness, • Ability to model recovery-oriented practices, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to maintain boundaries and practice cultural humility, • Familiarity with community-based resources including housing, treatment, employment services, and legal supports, • Proficiency in using computer software applications such as Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), email, web browser and database/file management systems required, • Experience working or volunteering in peer support, reentry programs, harm reduction, or behavioral health settings, • Knowledge of trauma-informed and restorative justice principles, • This role involves a combination of office, community, and courtroom settings, • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required The New York City Criminal Justice Agency is committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve. Position Summary:KIND seeks a Senior Social Services Coordinator to work with KIND’s child clients and their families to identify needs and gaps in services, assist families in accessing services related to education, health, mental health, housing, mediation, and childcare and provide leadership in establishing and sustaining relationships with local and state social services partners. In this position, the selected candidate will be expected to regularly commute to work with clients in Long Island. This position is contingent upon continued funding.Essential Functions: • Develops and maintains a knowledge base of social services available to clients in assigned work areas., • Leads outreach efforts to establish strategic working relationships and partnerships/coalitions with local providers in each service area to enhance the referral process., • Completes case management activities for referred clients inclusive of assessments, comprehensive service plan, referrals to services, monitoring and follow-up, and client/caregiver engagement ensuring appropriate tracking of appropriate documentation. regarding attempts to access services and service delivery., • Contributes to completion of data/metrics reports for internal and external program requirements inclusive of client data, outreaches, and other program outcomes., • Leads and guides in client therapeutic support and crisis management as assigned or necessary., • Supervise MSW placement interns as required by program agreement., • Leads design, planning and monitoring of in-house therapeutic events, resource fairs, and preventive programming., • Supports hiring, onboarding, training, and mentoring of new staff inclusive of foundational training areas and in concert with hiring manager/supervisor, • On occasion, if needed, assist KIND Legal Staff in conducting “Know Your Rights” presentations and screenings of children who have recently entered the ORR facility, • Supports with termed special projects related to the delivery of services to children as assigned., • Communicates and collaborates with ORR facility staff to create post-18 plans for detained children approaching 18 years of age and post-release plans for detained children under 18 years of age who have obtained immigration status., • Supports development of best practices, protocols, and provides training on relevant topics for the detained setting and KIND staff., • Supervises general interns and volunteers., • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements, • Graduate degree in Social Work or related field, preferably in counseling, or related specialty or 6 years of works experience.
