About Us Family Medicine MMC is a bilingual, team-based adult primary care clinic dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to the East Houston community. This position is ideal for a provider who values mentorship, collaboration, and long-term patient relationships. Position Summary We are seeking a Spanish-speaking Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing primary care team. The ideal candidate is mission-driven, eager to learn, committed to patient-centered care, and comfortable serving a bilingual community. You will work under physician supervision while progressing through our tiered training pathway, ensuring you feel fully confident before practicing independently. Key Responsibilities • Provide scheduled patient services under physician supervision, • Manage a patient load of approximately 20 patients per day, • Conduct detailed patient histories and comprehensive physical exams, • Interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic data, • Provide counseling, patient education, and wellness-focused care, • Perform women’s health services including Pap smears (training provided if needed), • Understand and apply:, • Meaningful Use, • PQRS, • ICD-10, • HEDIS Measures, • Provide preventive care, chronic condition management, and early intervention, • Maintain compliance with medical ethics, Texas state laws, and federal regulations, • Maintain active Texas licensure in good standing, • Participate in ongoing CME, credentialing, and clinic-required trainings, • Collaborate with a medical assistant for support with labs, imaging results, home health orders, refills, and inbox management, • Support clinic workflow, quality measures, and team-based tasks, • Perform other duties as assignedSpanish-speaking strongly preferred.
