Job Description We are seeking for full-time ER Nurse Practitioner Or Physicians Assistant in. This is a full-time position with 42-hour shifts and variable start times, including nights, weekends, or holidays. Candidates must have prior experience in emergency medicine and be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Relocation to the local area is required if you do not already reside nearby. Responsibilities for PA: • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses, • Conduct rapid and thorough patient assessments in high-acuity settings, • Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of emergency conditions across all age groups, • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and imaging, • Perform a wide variety of procedures (e.g., laceration repair, splinting, lumbar punctures, abscess drainage, EKG interpretation), • Initiate treatment plans including medications, IV fluids, oxygen, etc., • Stabilize and resuscitate critically ill or injured patients, • Triage, assess, and manage patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses, trauma, and emergencies, • Perform focused physical exams and detailed histories under urgent conditions, • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, CT scans, EKGs, etc.), • Diagnose and treat a wide range of emergency conditions (e.g., infections, fractures, chest pain, lacerations), • Stabilize patients experiencing life-threatening conditions (e.g., respiratory distress, cardiac arrest), • Perform procedures such as suturing, I&D, splinting, wound care, and intubation (depending on skill and credentialing), • Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields, • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant, • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), • Emergency medicine rotation or experience preferred (but many hospitals train motivated new grads), • Strong ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment, • Excellent interpersonal and crisis communication skills, • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, • Flexibility with work hours (nights, weekends, holidays)Company DescriptionWe are a PA/NP staffing agency that works with various clinics and small hospitals in Texas and parts of New Mexico.We are a PA/NP staffing agency that works with various clinics and small hospitals in Texas and parts of New Mexico.
