This role requires strong dermatology knowledge, sound clinical judgment, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work collaboratively with Board Certified Dermatologists and team members to ensure every patient feels welcomed, heard, respected, and confident in their care. Key Responsibilities: • Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:, • Conduct thorough skin examinations and document detailed patient medical histories while making patients feel comfortable, informed, and respected throughout the visit., • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and skin cancers., • Interpret laboratory results and skin biopsy findings to aid in diagnosis., • Treatment and Management:, • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, clearly explaining recommendations, expectations, risks, benefits, and follow-up needs in a way that builds trust and confidence., • Perform minor dermatological procedures, such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and laser treatments., • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes., • Patient Education and Counseling:, • Educate patients on skin health, disease prevention, and proper skincare routines., • Provide counseling on lifestyle modifications and preventive measures to manage and improve skin conditions., • Address patient concerns and questions with empathy, clarity, patience, and a solutions-oriented approach that reflects a high-touch service standard., • Collaboration and Coordination:, • Work closely with Board Certified Dermatologists, clinical support team members, and front-office partners to ensure seamless, coordinated, and hospitality-centered patient care., • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and develop integrated care plans, when needed., • Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare services when necessary., • Administrative Duties:, • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and internal documentation expectations., • Ensure timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care., • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects to enhance patient care and outcomes., • Model ownership, punctuality, preparation, and follow-through by managing schedules efficiently, communicating proactively, and supporting a smooth patient flow., • Professional Development:, • Stay updated with the latest advancements in dermatology through continuing education and professional development opportunities., • Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance clinical skills and knowledge., • Demonstrate a growth mindset by actively seeking feedback, applying best practices, and maintaining high standards for clinical skill, patient communication, and team collaboration. Qualifications: • Valid Tennessee state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)., • 2-3 years of relevant experience in dermatological care., • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dermatological conditions and treatments., • Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly with patients, families, providers, and team members., • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative, fast-paced, and highly accountable team environment., • Compassionate, polished, and patient-centered approach to care, with a clear commitment to hospitality, service excellence, professionalism, and continuous improvement., • High personal standards for clinical quality, responsiveness, documentation, teamwork, and patient satisfaction. Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with cosmetic dermatology procedures, including Botox, injectables, and laser treatments., • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, preferably EMA/Modernizing Medicine., • Prior experience in a service-oriented medical, aesthetics, dermatology, or boutique healthcare environment where patient experience is a core priority.
