Job Description Maintenance Technician Come join us at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician – Part-Time. • This is a Local 342 Union job., • Schedule = Midnight to 8am plus weekends and holidays., • $20.44 per hour plus 10% shift differential for Night shift., • High School or vocational school graduate or equivalent., • Experience in carpentry, painting and drywall required., • Experience in electrical wiring, fixtures and plumbing required., • Experience in operating and maintaining boilers, central A/C, air compressors and pumps required., • Up to 3 month, Full-Time (5 days/week) paid training session required., • Knowledge and interest in working with elderly residents., • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all building equipment., • Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and refinishing work as needed., • Repair electrical wiring, fixtures and plumbing as needed., • Mechanical repairs on items such as hospital beds, lifts, stands, wheelchairs, commercial kitchen equipment, and commercial laundry equipment., • Operate and maintain boilers, central A/C, air compressors, pumps, etc., • Make necessary adjustments to supply heat, cooking and other services., • Assist with snow removal using appropriate equipment, including snowplows., • Assist with installation, maintenance, and up-keep of computers.
