Cocomint Inc. is the retail arm of an Asian goods wholesale company and was founded in 2023. We are passionate about skincare innovation, and recognize how beauty products can play an important role in an individual's life. Having sold over 1 million Asian beauty products on TikTok Shop and initiated several viral trends in the TikTok beauty space, we are looking to constantly push the envelope of what is possible in the intersection of Asian Beauty technology and Western sensibilities. Cocomint is also a TikTok Shop Partner (TSP) that specializes in helping Korean Beauty and lifestyle brands scale on the platform. Role Description The Human Resources Generalist will manage day-to-day human resources operations across the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR administration. This role works closely with leadership to ensure HR processes are scalable, compliant, and aligned with company culture. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-growing environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate end-to-end recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer letters, • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee experience, • Maintain employee records and onboarding documentation, • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace issues, • Support performance review cycles, goal tracking, and employee development initiatives, • Assist managers with performance improvement plans and corrective action documentation, • Ensure compliance with federal, state (California), and local labor laws, • Maintain HR policies, employee handbook updates, and internal HR documentation, • Track employee attendance, PTO, leaves of absence, and accommodations, • Assist with audits, workers’ compensation claims, and unemployment documentation, • Partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, • Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, changes, and employee education, • Respond to employee benefit-related inquiries, • Support company culture initiatives, employee engagement programs, and internal communications, • Assist with training coordination, learning initiatives, and compliance trainings Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, • 2–4 years of HR Generalist or related HR experience, • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices, • Experience supporting payroll, benefits, and employee relations, • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, • Experience in a startup, eCommerce, beauty, or consumer brand environment, • SHRM-CP or PHR certification (or working toward certification), • Familiarity with contractor agreements, internships, and influencer/creator agreements Benefits • Health Insurance, • 401K + Matching, • PTO Schedule • Full-time (minimum 40 hours), • Monday to Friday, hybrid (Wednesday remote) Compensation • $60,000 to $85,000 per year DOE
