The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical accounting depth with the ability to manage a team, innovate to enhance efficiencies, strengthen controls, and help establish the foundation for a best-in-class finance function. You will • Review and provide quality oversight of accounting work across key balance sheet and P&L areas, including AP, PPE/fixed assets, and prepaid accounts., • Serve as a point of contact for external auditors and help drive overall audit readiness across the organization, • Support process improvement, automation, and new system implementation initiatives leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency, reporting, or workflow design., • Support and oversee the monthly close and consolidation process, ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable reporting., • Perform high-level flux and balance sheet analysis, identifying key drivers, unusual trends, and areas requiring follow-up, • Oversee the implementation and ongoing administration of share-based compensation (ASC 718)., • Lead the ongoing management of ASC 842 accounting infrastructure & process buildout, • Review inventory-related vendor invoices through the three‑way match process (PO, receiving, invoice), • Prepare and record journal entries as needed to support an accurate and timely month-end close, • Partner with the Controller to help manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team You Must Have • Strong command of U.S. GAAP with meaningful exposure to complex accounting areas such as ASC 842 and ASC 718, • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and a high degree of accountability, • Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems such as Microsoft d365 in an evolving environment, • Demonstrated people‑management experience, including supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting staff, • Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting, • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a National public accounting firm, • CPA highly preferred A reasonable salary estimate based on education, experience, and geographic location is: $120,000-$150,000 Equal Opportunity Employer CarParts.com is an equal-opportunity employer.
