Construction Attorney | Established California Platform | Sophisticated Public & Private Projects | Up to $400k | LA / OC | Hybrid or Remote A well-regarded Southern California firm is looking to add a Construction Attorney to its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wants to work on substantial project-related matters across both the transactional and disputes side, with exposure to major developments, strong client relationships, and a collaborative senior team. The practice advises a broad range of participants in the building and infrastructure space, including owners, contractors, design professionals, lenders, and other key stakeholders. The work spans both public and private sector projects, with matters involving major civic, infrastructure, healthcare, energy, and commercial developments. Highlights: • Work on large-scale, high-value construction matters with strong responsibility and client exposure, • Broad practice covering both front-end contracting and back-end disputes, • Strong reputation in complex construction and project-related matters, • Collaborative team with deep experience working together over many years, • Meaningful exposure to public works and government-related construction issues, • Platform supports long-term growth and practice development, • High-level matters without the environment feeling overly rigid or hierarchical The role • Advise clients through the full life cycle of construction projects, from contract preparation and negotiation through closeout and dispute resolution, • Handle active disputes involving delays, disruption, change orders, payment issues, design-related claims, defaults, and project performance problems, • Work on mediation, arbitration, and litigation involving sophisticated construction matters, • Counsel clients on day-to-day project administration, risk management, and claims strategy, • Assist with procurement-related issues, contract compliance, and other project delivery concerns, • Support clients across both public and private developments Compensation & structure • Base salary up to $400,000, depending on experience, • Bonus potential in addition to base, • Premium billing rates, with flexibility to support practice growth, • 1,850 billable target, • Los Angeles / Orange County, • Hybrid or remote flexibility available Ideal background • Strong construction law experience, whether focused on litigation, counseling, contracts, or a blend of all three, • Comfortable handling complex project disputes and advising on practical risk issues, • Experience with public works, procurement, bidding, licensing, surety, or related regulatory issues is highly attractive, • Strong drafting, analytical, and client-management skills, • Able to work independently while also collaborating closely with a senior team, • Commercially minded and interested in developing a long-term practice For a confidential, no-obligation conversation about this opportunity, please apply below or send your resume to
