Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex personal injury cases from intake through trial or settlement. This role requires excellent litigation, negotiation, and client advocacy skills, with a proven track record of favorable case results. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a full caseload of personal injury matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, nursing home negligence, Medical Malpractice, and wrongful death claims., • Conduct all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, and trial., • Develop case strategies, evaluate settlement value, and provide legal counsel to clients on their rights and legal options., • Lead and supervise paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff in case preparation and management., • Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and insurance companies., • Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings, and mediations., • Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery responses, and trial briefs., • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure high-quality service and legal guidance., • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school., • Active license to practice law in New Mexico and in good standing., • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation., • Proven trial experience with a track record of successful outcomes., • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills., • Strong negotiation and analytical skills., • Ability to manage high-volume caseloads while delivering quality results., • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively., • Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) a plus., • Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses., • Health, and dental, • 401(k) with employer match., • Continuing legal education (CLE) support., • Paid time off and holidays., • Opportunities for career advancement., • Opportunities for bonuses based upon firm performance Company DescriptionSmall Personal injury firmSmall Personal injury firm

The position involves litigating car crash and other personal injury claims in New Mexico state and federal courts. Job duties include client communication, drafting pleadings and motions, case strategy, depositions, and hearings. We provide constant training and development for our lawyers, including both paid continuing legal education seminars and in-house training.
