Job DescriptionJob Title: Production Operator / Feeder Job Description The production operator works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment as part of a dynamic team. In this role, you support the machine operator and team lead by loading materials, feeding rolls of paper into machines, and helping ensure production goals are consistently met. You handle general production tasks such as packaging, inspection, and material handling while following clear work instructions, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Responsibilities • Work closely with the team lead and machine operator to support daily production activities., • Feed rolls of paper into production machines and monitor the flow of paper throughout the process., • Check for and clear paper jams safely to maintain continuous machine operation., • Load and unload raw materials, including moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds., • Operate a pallet jack to move raw materials and finished goods as needed., • Pack boxes, perform packaging tasks, and label products accurately., • Use basic hand tools and power tools as required for production and assembly tasks., • Read and follow work instructions, production orders, and basic blueprints as needed., • Perform visual inspections to verify product quality and identify defects., • Assist with general machine operation and operator-level maintenance tasks under guidance., • Maintain a clean and organized work area by assisting with cleaning tasks and removing debris., • Support inventory, picking, and production line activities to ensure materials are available when needed., • Follow all quality, safety, and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment., • Collaborate with team members, communicate clearly, and contribute to a positive team atmosphere., • Perform general labor, warehouse, and manufacturing duties as assigned to meet production goals.Essential Skills, • Experience or strong interest in production, general labor, warehouse, or manufacturing environments., • Ability to move and handle raw materials weighing up to 40 pounds safely and repeatedly., • Ability to operate a pallet jack for moving raw materials and finished products., • Capability to pack boxes, perform packaging tasks, and handle loading and unloading activities., • Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately., • Comfort with feeding rolls of paper into machines and monitoring machine operation., • Basic mechanical aptitude to understand machine functions and assist with operator-level maintenance., • Attention to detail for visual inspection, labeling, and quality checks., • Strong communication skills to coordinate with operators, team leads, and coworkers., • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a production line environment., • Willingness to follow safety guidelines, quality standards, and company policies at all times.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with machine operation or machine loading in a manufacturing setting., • Familiarity with using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools in a production environment., • Experience with packaging, inspection, and labeling processes., • Comfort working with blueprints or basic mechanical drawings., • Previous experience in inventory, picking, or material handling roles., • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and interest in learning more advanced machine operation., • Strong teamwork mindset and reliability in meeting production schedules.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility focused on machine loading and production operations. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with initial training provided on the day shift. You spend most of your time on the production floor, feeding rolls of paper into machines, loading and unloading raw materials, and packing boxes. The work involves standing, walking, and handling materials up to 40 pounds. You regularly operate a pallet jack and use basic hand and power tools. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, and you assist with cleaning the work area and maintaining an organized space. You follow detailed work instructions, quality procedures, and safety guidelines while working closely with operators and other team members in a collaborative, production-line setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
