Overview Primary responsibility is to serve as a resource in the continuum of surgical care that includes clinic preoperative preparation, pre-surgical testing, day of service preoperative preparation, intraoperative care and post-operative surgical care that reflects clinical excellence and Mercy values. While we are primarily a Trauma and Neuro / Neuro-Surgical unit, we do care for patients with other types of diagnosis requiring critical care. This allows us to support our community, and the other ICUs at Mercy, while challenging our own team to continue to learn and grow in our nursing practice.
