Job Duties and Responsibilities: Warehouse Manager will oversee operations at a warehouse or storage facility to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Their duties include preparing schedules for Warehouse Associates, training new employees on how to use machinery and monitoring compliance with safety standards. A Warehouse Manager completes various management, organization and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse’s storage and shipment processes. • Oversee transportation department, including its assets and employees., • Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and ecommerce management., • Supervise scheduling of deliveries., • Review financial reports, such as reimbursement requests., • Manage performance of drivers with emphasis on productivity, efficiency, and service delivery., • Lead all distribution and transportation planning and strategic activities., • Recruit, interview, select, train, motivate, coach, and mentor drivers and dispatchers., • Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities., • Oversees the coordination and routing of deliveries., • Directs dispatching and routing activities and tracks transportation vehicles., • Ensures that customer difficulties or problems are investigated and resolved., • Negotiates and secures contracts with transportation providers and customers., • Implements safety audits and trains staff members on safety issues., • Maintains knowledge of regulations related to transportation., • In collaboration with other managers, develops and implements policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for transportation operations., • Ensures compliance with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, and government regulations., • Performs other related duties as assigned., • People leaders who connect with teams have capacity and inclination to coach, develop and engage from top to bottom. Build strong relationships and loyalty with team so retention and engagement are great., • Holds teamaccountable, rewards and recognizes great performers while coaching and disciplining consistent poor performers., • Lead the implementation of change in his/ her operations, • Maintain customer service levels within Transportation operations, • Drives operational execution of keyobjectivessuch as productivity, service, and retention., • Develop and support cost Management initiatives that deliver cost effective results and the right level of customer service to support the business., • Work to ensure all CSA -cores meet FMSCA requirements and that all incidents and violations are kept to a minimum., • Work closely with Human Resources on the recruitment and retention of CDL drivers and ensure DOT compliance., • Proactively implement and manage all DOT compliance with a strong emphasis on Personal responsibility for accident incident prevention., • Monitor complianceofDriver fleet Operations to ensure all personnelcomply withall DOT regulations per the FMCSA and company policies., • Assistin thecompanydocumentation and investigation of accidents/incidents and coordinate effective response withappropriate managementpersonnel., • Oversee safety, training plans, andorganizeexecution., • Conduct training for drivers and managers to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and Baldor Express policies., • Maintain current andaccuratelist of all drivers and manage driver eligibility for CDL and Non - CDL., • Maintains Driver Qualification Filesin accordance withregulatory requirements., • Monitor and audit preventative maintenance and unplanned repair programs for regional shop operations, ensuring vehicle maintenance are completed on a timely basis., • Ensure daily vehicle inspections (DVIRs) are beingperformedby drivers and managed properly by each location within the region. Ensure proper recordkeeping requirements are met., • Manage the effectiveutilizationof DOT-related IT systemsincluding,Samsara, and Driver's Alert., • Track and manage functionality and appropriate use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)., • Conducts routine DOT compliance audits., • Work in conjunction with the Safety Department on vehicle incident investigations and root cause analysis., • Manage International Fuel Tax Association (IFTA) Reporting, the NY — HUT, and United Carrier Registrationpertaining toDOT and within the required timeline., • Order stickers FOR TRUCKS OVER 26,001 GVWR and pass to the Fleet Manager to beappliedand perform Quarterly tax returns online., • Track and manage the GPS/telematics, fuelcardand toll pass program., • Keep track of all DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance updates and provide reporting to Senior Management., • Ensure Compliance with GMI Trading Drug and Alcohol testing program and non — DOT drivers testing programin accordance withGMI Trading internal Policies and Procedures., • Supports customer service satisfaction, for both internal and external customers alike, • Support Senior Management on all Leasing, Maintenance, and Contractual Agreementspertaining toTransportation., • Supports Senior Management on delivering against financial & operational metrics for GMI markets, • Ensures adequate staffing and scheduling are in place to support an effective and continuous operation., • Identifiesoperational problems and quickly implementsappropriate solutions, • Responsible for promptly addressing and resolving problems/complaints raised by the warehouse and delivery team, • Operates with a Continuous Improvement mindset, creating and executing proactive steps toeliminatewaste improveefficienciesand internal customer satisfaction, • Upholdspromotesanddemonstratesan environment of honesty,integrityand candor throughout the department., • Official ambassador of safety, customer service, drivermoraleand efficiency for the GMI transportation operational team, • Overseethe employee relations and personnel administration of commercial drivers, • High school diploma or equivalency degree, • Must be 18 and over, • Familiarity with the relationship with freight forwarder and customs brokers along with importing goods to the US and globally a big plus, • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, • Attention to detail, • Strong technology skills, • Ability to interact withclient/customer via telephone or email communication, • Able to clearly present information both verbally and in writing, • Excellent listening, writing, and communication skills, • Strong work ethic, • All miscellaneous administrative and support duties, FLEXIBILITY is key!, • Attention to detail and organization
