Essential Functions: • Demonstrates an ability to organize and achieve quality performance in new routine, • Demonstrates effectiveness in coordinating aspects of patient care, • Performs appropriate assessments and treatment for patients, • Performs appropriate interpretation of laboratory/diagnostic testing, • Performs basic bedside procedures such as central line removal feeding tube insertion rhino rocket insertion etc, • Demonstrates strong organizational skills communicates effectively and demonstrates time management, • Performs duties independently and coordinates care with the bedside nurse attending physician and other consulting providers, • The ability to compassionately interact with patients across different areas of care, • Recognizes areas for improvement in policies or patient care initiates change and educates all involved in change, • Regularly communicates with nursing staff concerning patient care issues, • Thoroughly explains procedures to patients prior to testing, • Provides appropriate patient teaching as necessary Job Requirements: • Acute care certification preferred, • FCCS certification preferred, • 1 to 2 years acute care hospital experience preferred, • Current APN or PA certification, • Current NJ state license CDS and DEA, • Current BLS and ACLS required
