This role requires a seasoned attorney with significant experience in construction law, contracts, real estate development, and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in mitigating risk, managing legal exposure, and supporting complex transactions. Key Responsibilities: • Draft, negotiate, and review construction contracts, subcontracts, vendor agreements, joint venture agreements, and development documents., • Advise internal teams on legal matters related to land use, permitting, insurance, liens, labor and employment, environmental regulations, and litigation risk., • Oversee outside counsel handling litigation, insurance claims, and administrative matters., • Provide legal guidance during all phases of the project lifecycle, from acquisition through close-out., • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws including OSHA, prevailing wage/Davis-Bacon, DBE/WBE, MWBE participation, and contract claims., • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal and regulatory issues., • Assist with corporate governance, licensing, and entity management., • Train business units on contract terms, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance., • Identify emerging legal trends and risks in the construction and real estate sectors. Qualifications: • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar (New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut preferred)., • 5+ years of legal experience, including at least 5 years advising construction or development firms either in-house or at a reputable law firm., • Strong working knowledge of AIA contract forms, lien law, insurance issues, and construction disputes., • Experience with real estate development, public-private partnerships, or infrastructure projects is a significant plus., • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters independently and pragmatically., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain legal issues to non-legal stakeholders., • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities. Nahmias et Fils Distillery Production Assistant Yonkers, NY $20.00 per hour Job Summary Nahmias et Fils, a family-owned craft distillery in Yonkers, NY, is seeking a motivated Production Assistant to support daily operations in spirit production, bottling, and packaging. Working under the direction of the Head Distiller, you will gain hands-on experience in every stage of craft distilling while helping us produce award-winning Mahia, whiskey, vodka, and other spirits. This is a full-time, in-person role at our distillery located at 201 Saw Mill River Rd, Yonkers, NY 10701. Responsibilities Operate equipment safely and follow established procedures. Assist with fermentation, distillation, blending, proofing, and bottling. Package finished products and prepare orders for distribution. Handle raw materials, inventory, and supplies. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and production areas. Document daily production activities accurately. Support overall production schedules to ensure timely delivery. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in science or math preferred. Prior experience in beverage, brewing, or food production a plus (not required). Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for extended shifts. Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license. Ensures proper function of equipment and parts when released to Production department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES • Fabrication and assembly of fixtures and components for our packaging and related equipment., • Supports and assists Production department with technical expertise., • Responsible for repair and maintenance of production machine parts on an as required basis., • Assists Production and Maintenance departments with repair of equipment., • Makes necessary repairs to damaged or worn production equipment parts., • Continually seeks improvements in the fabrication process as well as the production machinery., • Supports a regular and consistent clean-up time on a weekly basis., • Supports Liquid dept. and Warehouse with repair to damaged equipment.
