Technico plans and executes construction projects for the public and private sector including new buildings, interior and exterior renovations, alterations, and landmark restorations. Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Sage 300, purchase order (PO) management, accounts payable analysis, job reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations with a strong preference for candidates with construction industry experience. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day transactions related to accounts payable, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining vendor relationships. About you: You will be an experienced Bookkeeper with an emphasis on Accounts Payable and the ability to manage the end-to-end process. • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness., • Utilize Sage 300 for data entry, reporting, and reconciliation., • Handle purchase order (PO) management, ensuring proper approvals and documentation., • Analyze AP transactions to identify discrepancies and improve efficiency., • Apply job costing knowledge to ensure proper allocation of expenses., • Process payments via ACH, wire transfers, checks, credit cards, and manual payments., • Maintain accurate vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies., • Reconcile AP accounts and assist in month-end closing activities., • Collaborate with internal teams (accounting, procurement, and project managers) to ensure smooth financial operations., • Record and make weekly and monthly payments to various unions., • Strong working knowledge of Sage 300 (Required), • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Bookkeeping (Accounts Payable and Payroll) or related finance role., • Strong understanding of PO management, job costing, AP transaction analysis, and credit card reconciliations., • Construction industry experience highly preferred., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software, • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills., • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities., • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines., • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field This is an opportunity to be part of a reputable business that places focus on its people and its customers evolving needs.
