Position: Outside Sales Representative – Quartz Slabs / Building Materials Location: East Brunswick, New Jersey 08816 Sales Territory: New Jersey, New York Metropolitan Area, Philadelphia Metropolitan Area, and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic market Employment Type: Full-time Work Model: Field sales focused, based around the East Brunswick showroom, warehouse, and distribution center. This role requires regular field activity and willingness to travel up to 90% of the time within the assigned territory. Compensation: This is a salaried, exempt outside sales position. The annual gross base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000, depending on experience, industry background, customer portfolio, and territory knowledge. Estimated annual total compensation generally ranges from $75,000 to $100,000, depending on base salary, performance-based commission or bonus structure, and achievement of sales targets. The salary ranges stated above represent gross annual compensation before applicable taxes and deductions. About the Company Coante USA Inc. is expanding its United States organization in East Brunswick, New Jersey to support the warehousing, showroom display, sales, and distribution operations of high-quality engineered quartz slabs manufactured in Türkiye. Our East Brunswick facility will operate as a showroom, warehouse, and distribution center serving fabricators, kitchen and bath dealers, countertop dealers, contractors, architects, designers, and builders across New Jersey, the New York Metropolitan Area, the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area, and surrounding markets. As part of our United States growth journey, we are looking for an Outside Sales Representative with business-to-business field sales experience in building materials, quartz slabs, stone surfaces, countertops, or related industries to help build customer relationships and grow Coante’s commercial presence in the market. Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business-to-business customer relationships, conducting regular field sales visits, presenting Coante quartz slab products to key decision-makers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sustainable sales growth within the assigned territory. This is not a showroom-only sales position. This role requires active field sales activity, new customer acquisition, builder, dealer, and fabricator relationship development, project and quote follow-up, regional market awareness, and measurable sales growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Develop a new business-to-business customer network across New Jersey, the New York Metropolitan Area, the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area, and surrounding Mid-Atlantic markets., • Build and maintain relationships with fabricators, kitchen and bath dealers, countertop dealers, contractors, architects, interior designers, installers, design centers, and builders., • Conduct regular field sales visits to potential and existing customers and present Coante’s product portfolio., • Establish strong commercial relationships with key decision-makers in the builder, design center, countertop fabrication, and installation channels., • Position Coante quartz slab products effectively by communicating quality, design, supply reliability, and service advantages., • Drive customer traffic to the East Brunswick showroom and warehouse and support slab selection processes., • Identify customer needs, follow up on quotes, and convert sales opportunities into orders., • Conduct ongoing market research and report on customer expectations, competitor activity, pricing trends, and regional market dynamics., • Coordinate with showroom, warehouse, logistics, and shipping teams to support accurate and timely order management., • Use product samples, catalogs, technical information, and marketing materials to increase brand visibility in the field., • Support the resolution of customer issues related to deliveries, returns, credits, product feedback, and service expectations., • Maintain accurate customer, visit, quote, and opportunity records in the company’s customer relationship management system or sales tracking system., • Represent Coante USA Inc. at trade shows, customer events, and industry-related activities when required., • Track sales targets, customer acquisition goals, visit plans, and sales pipeline activity on a regular basis. Education and Experience Requirements To perform this job successfully, the candidate should meet the following education and experience requirements: • Bachelor’s degree preferred., • Minimum 2 years of business-to-business sales, outside sales, territory sales, or business development experience., • Experience in quartz slabs, natural stone, engineered stone, countertops, kitchen and bath, flooring, tile, cabinetry, construction materials, or related building materials is preferred., • Experience working with builders, dealers, fabricators, contractors, architects, designers, installers, or countertop channel customers is highly desirable., • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record., • Strong business math skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, commissions, percentages, margins, area, and volume., • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently in the field and collaborate effectively with internal teams., • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with customer relationship management platforms or digital sales tracking tools is preferred., • Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, relationship management, and negotiation skills., • Spanish or additional language skills may be considered an advantage depending on the customer base and territory needs., • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications • Existing customer network in quartz slabs, countertop surfaces, stone distribution, or building materials., • Familiarity with the New Jersey, New York Metropolitan Area, or Philadelphia Metropolitan Area building materials market., • Direct access to fabricators, kitchen and bath dealers, builders, or design centers., • Experience in a showroom and warehouse-supported sales model., • Experience in imported products, distribution, wholesale sales, or project-based sales., • Experience in a newly established or growing sales organization. Physical Demands and Work Environment This is a field sales-oriented role. The employee will regularly conduct customer visits, present products in showroom and warehouse environments, and use samples, catalogs, and sales materials to support customer discussions. This position requires willingness to travel up to 90% of the time within the assigned territory. Most travel will consist of local customer visits across New Jersey, the New York Metropolitan Area, the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area, and surrounding Mid-Atlantic markets. Occasional overnight travel may be required based on business needs. The role may require standing, walking, sitting, driving, handling sales materials, and communicating regularly with customers. The employee may be expected to carry reasonable amounts of product samples, catalogs, or other sales support materials.
