Follow up on treatment given. * Communicate to health staff and executive director the recommendations for supply/equipment needs, changes in general procedures and about site hazards. * Maintain good relationships with health and emergency service providers and the public. * Camper Leadership & Supervision * Act ‘in loco parentis’ regarding the health services for all campers in overnight camp sessions. * When support & counsel campers in daily living, camp activities, and developing peer relationships. * When applicable, provide overnight supervision and care to campers and staff when housed in Health Center. * Staff Leadership & Supervision * Perform ongoing health/medical/first aid support for camp staff and campers. * Continually advise all staff on the camp-wide health procedures & practices. * Provide health/first aid advice to all staff according to procedures. * Verify first aid and medical reports given by all staff. Follow up on treatment given. * Monitor staff first aid treatment throughout the season. * Provide supervision and guidance to health team including but not limited to; Health Assistant(s) and Wellness Supervisor. * Administration * Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner. * Accountable for the documentation and review of the health/medical practices and procedures at camp. * Participate in camper and staff feedback forms as necessary for the overall camp’s strategic planning. * Interact with digital systems including WorkBright, CampMinder, Office365, Slack, Instagram, & Facebook. * Respect the confidential nature of all information pertaining to staff, volunteers, and campers. * Participate in regular staff meetings and training for planning purposes, communication resolutions, and carrying out assignments. * Coordinate and communicate schedules to campers & staff as necessary. * Carry out ongoing observations to assure that goals and expectations of leadership & health care services are positive and appropriate. * Follow policies, procedures, and standards set by the American Camping Association, Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints, Colorado Department of Health and Human Services, and other certifying industry organizations. We serve people across the lifespan, working through a trauma-informed, strengths-based, relational, culturally attuned, and community responsive lens. The position provides outpatient therapy across the lifespan to children, youth, adults, couples, and families. These services are uniquely tailored to the needs of each individual or family being served. This position provides a wide range of interventions that include (but are not limited to): diagnostic mental health assessments; individual, family, play, couples, and group psychotherapy; connection to case management support and psychiatric services; crisis intervention; coordination and ongoing communication with appropriate collaterals. The individuals and families we work with present with a broad range of bio-psycho-social and mental health needs including trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment, family dynamics, and substance use, among others. This position is also responsible for maintaining compliance with documentation standards for all work performed.
