Job Description POSITION OVERVIEW Data One Construction is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to serve as the on-site leader and primary liaison between Data One project management, subcontractors, and stakeholders on mission-critical data center construction projects. In this role, you will be the bridge connecting all parties—ensuring seamless coordination, clear communication, and flawless execution. As Site Superintendent, you are responsible for day-to-day field operations, subcontractor management and coordination, stakeholder communication, safety oversight, quality assurance, and schedule adherence. You will manage multiple trades simultaneously, resolve on-site issues collaboratively, maintain transparent communication with all parties, and ensure all work meets Data One's rigorous standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Subcontractor Coordination & Management • Serve as primary on-site interface with all subcontractors and specialty contractors, • Conduct pre-work meetings with each trade to clarify scope, sequencing, expectations, and project requirements, • Verify subcontractor qualifications, insurance, safety certifications, and compliance documentation, • Monitor subcontractor performance including schedule adherence, quality of work, and safety compliance, • Address performance issues directly and collaboratively; implement corrective actions as needed, • Coordinate work sequencing to prevent conflicts and maintain efficient project flow, • Manage subcontractor change orders, time tracking, and documentation, • Build positive working relationships with subcontractors while maintaining professional accountability, • Facilitate communication between subcontractors when coordination between trades is required, • Resolve day-to-day subcontractor issues and escalate complex matters to Project Manager PM & Project Management Liaison • Serve as primary on-site representative and direct liaison to Data One Project Manager, • Provide regular project updates to PM including daily progress, issues, risks, and schedule status, • Communicate design clarifications, change orders, and scope modifications from engineering to field teams, • Execute PM directives and ensure field implementation aligns with project requirements, • Escalate critical issues, safety concerns, or schedule risks immediately to PM, • Maintain accurate field documentation and daily reporting for PM review, • Coordinate PE/engineer site visits and support engineering assessments, • Support project management with cost tracking, budget updates, and schedule forecasting Stakeholder Communication & Liaison • Serve as primary on-site communication point for project stakeholders (client, owner representatives, consultants, architects, engineers), • Conduct weekly coordination meetings with stakeholders addressing schedule, quality, and operational issues, • Provide transparent, professional updates on project status, progress toward milestones, and any concerns, • Manage stakeholder expectations regarding schedule, quality, and cost through proactive communication, • Address stakeholder questions and concerns professionally and promptly, • Represent Data One professionally in all stakeholder interactions, • Facilitate site visits and project tours for stakeholders as needed, • Maintain positive relationships while advocating for Data One's interests and project requirements Field Operations & Project Leadership • Manage daily construction operations and coordinate field team activities, • Oversee job site layout, equipment staging, material delivery coordination, and logistics, • Enforce strict adherence to project schedule while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols, • Identify and resolve on-site conflicts, bottlenecks, and operational challenges in real-time, • Support project manager with field reporting, daily logs, and project documentation, • Ensure efficient workflow across multiple trades and activities Safety & Compliance Oversight • Maintain overall responsibility for site-wide safety culture and OSHA compliance, • Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and toolbox talks, • Verify that all subcontractors maintain required safety certifications and training, • Investigate safety incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions; implement corrective actions, • Monitor PPE compliance, equipment safety, and adherence to jobsite safety protocols, • Enforce zero-tolerance safety standards and coordinate with company safety leadership, • Support emergency response procedures and maintain incident documentation Quality Assurance & Inspection • Verify that all construction work meets specifications, blueprints, and quality standards, • Conduct daily quality inspections and document deficiencies, • Coordinate with inspectors, testing companies, and third-party verification entities, • Ensure proper documentation of inspections, testing results, and compliance records, • Identify quality issues early and implement corrective actions before escalation, • Support punch-list compilation and final inspections prior to project closeout Schedule Management & Documentation • Monitor daily progress against project schedule and identify variances, • Track subcontractor productivity and identify schedule risks, • Coordinate activities to maintain critical path and meet project milestones, • Maintain daily jobsite logs including weather, productivity, staffing, and incidents, • Document delays, changes, and impacts to schedule, • Prepare weekly progress reports for project management, • Support schedule updates and forecasting with accurate field data REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • 8+ years of construction superintendent or project management experience on commercial, industrial, or data center projects, • Proven experience coordinating and managing multiple subcontractors and diverse trades, • Exceptional communication skills with ability to interface effectively with subcontractors, clients, engineers, and stakeholders, • OSHA 30 Certification or willingness to obtain within first 90 days, • Deep knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and scheduling, • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications, • Understanding of construction contracts, change orders, and project documentation, • Proficiency with construction management software (scheduling, budgeting, documentation), • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, • Ability to work full-time on-site in Franklinville, New Jersey, • Physical capability to work in construction environments (climbing, bending, standing, walking jobsites), • High school diploma or equivalent;
