We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time, Medical Receptionist 1 at Center for Digestive Disease in Union, NJ. Responsibilities: • Greet and assist patients and visitors promptly and courteously upon arrival., • Manage patient appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling using electronic health record (EHR) systems., • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments or fees as required., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations., • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical staff or departments., • Coordinate patient flow by notifying medical staff of patient arrivals and managing waiting room logistics., • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry to support clinical and office operations. The required skills enable the Medical Receptionist 1 to effectively manage patient interactions, ensuring clear and compassionate communication that fosters a positive experience. Proficiency with EHR systems and general computer literacy are essential for accurate scheduling, record-keeping, and billing tasks, which support clinical workflows. Attention to detail and organizational skills help maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and protect patient privacy. Preferred skills such as bilingual communication and familiarity with medical terminology enhance the receptionist's ability to serve diverse patient populations and collaborate with clinical staff. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent., • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred but not required., • Basic proficiency with computer systems and electronic health record (EHR) software., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills., • Certification as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Administrative Assistant., • Experience with specific EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech., • Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the United States., • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing procedures. Monday thru Friday-9:00am to 5:00pm
