Job Description Responsibilities: • Performing a variety of light construction duties such as drywall installation and patching, painting, light bulb and fixture installation, drain and sewer line stoppages, cabinet installation and repair, vinyl and ceramic tile installation and repair and window air conditioner installation and maintenance. Job Description Summary Streetwork Project is an innovative outreach-counseling program for homeless youth in Harlem, which utilizes a harm reduction approach providing comprehensive services to adolescents and young adults impacted by homelessness and involved in street activities (gangs, violence, drug use/sale and survival sex). The Youth Services Navigator will promote access to harm reduction supplies and services at Streetwork’s Drop-In Center, with a focus on LGBTQ youth and youth of color at risk of SUDs Youth Services Navigators (YSN) will facilitate and conduct one-on-one harm reduction goal setting intervention for drug using clients. Youth Services Navigators will provide overdose prevention and response trainings for drug users. The YSN will provide youth seeking harm reduction services with information, counseling and supplies (safer syringe services, sniff kits, safer sex supplies, Naloxone kits and sharps disposal kits), The Youth Services Navigators will also be needed to provide general program services such client monitoring in the milieu, intake and assessment, supportive counseling, referrals, syringe exchange, escorts and the provision of concrete services (meal preparation client, laundry, provision of supplies), and groups. Job Description Summary Streetwork Project is the oldest street outreach program for homeless and street-involved youth in New York City. The program has grown from its beginnings in 1984 as a storefront project to encompass both outreach and comprehensive harm reduction services. The core service is long-term, one-on-one counseling, which is offered in a non-judgmental and holistic manner utilizing a harm reduction approach that focuses on building trust, fostering self-esteem, exploring options and choices, and empowering youth to change their high-risk behaviors. As part of our continuum of services we operate an emergency housing program for homeless youth in NYC, Streetwork Overnight. The Overnight is a 24 bed facility for youth ages 16-20. It is open from 7 pm to 10 am 7 days a week. Casual Youth Advocates work overnight hours to support the youth while they are in our crisis shelter. As part of our continuum of services, we also provide overnight outreach in teams of two seven nights a week (7 pm to 3 am), throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Casual Youth Advocates work overnight hours to meet the most disenfranchised youth while they are in crisis. Casual Youth Advocates work part-time and on-call, filling in for full-time youth advocate absences at the Overnight and Outreach program. These individuals provide comprehensive services to adolescents and young adults impacted by homelessness and involved in street activities (gangs, violence, drug use/sale and survival sex). Job Description Therapist - Counseling Center - 60% Full-Time (21 hours per week) Summary: The Trauma Therapist position is 60% of a full-time position (21 hours per week) and is a hybrid position with 11 hours onsite and 10 hours remote. Onsite hours include 4 hours every Saturday and one shift from 12:00 to 8:00 during the week. The Safe Horizon Counseling Center (SHCC) is a New York State-licensed outpatient mental health clinic that specializes, exclusively, in the trauma-focused treatment of child and adult survivors of interpersonal violence and other forms of abuse. Job Description The Climate Finance Portfolio Manager is responsible for the ongoing management of an assigned portfolio of commercial solar, battery storage, energy efficiency, and other climate-related project finance credit, in collaboration with the Climate Lending Team. Our goal is help those who have experienced physical, emotional or other forms of abuse to establish long-term safety and healing from the effects of trauma. Safe Horizon uses a client centered, trauma informed, anti-oppressive approach to supporting clients. Responsibilities: The Senior Therapeutic Case Planner provides both practical advocacy services and support to domestic violence survivors, their children and the person causing harm (separately). Purpose of Position: To support the underwriting of our mission driven loans to institutions that are values aligned and include foundations, unions, social advocacy organizations, progressive companies, and clean energy projects. To support business development officers in the origination and execution of new loans. The person who fills this position will work closely with origination and credit risk management teams to review and analyze financial statement reports, conduct due diligence, assess credit risk, prepare deal screen presentations, write credit approval memorandums, present recommendations to the credit committee, help structure transactions, and monitor and manage the credit portfolio. This is a hybrid role reporting 3 days on-site to our NYC or DC office. Essential Job Functions: • Collaborate with potential borrowing customers to determine credit needs and develop appropriate loan structures that meet both client needs and bank requirements, • Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums that provide rationale, opinions and in-depth analysis of new credit requests, • Assist in the presentation of transactions to credit committee in support of approval, • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Bank’s lending policies and procedures, identifying any exceptions to credit policy, • Recommend appropriate risk ratings in accordance with credit policy guidelines, • Participate in meetings and conference calls on transactions, lead due diligence discussions, and develop deal indicative term sheets and deal screen presentations, • Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums that provide rationale, opinions and recommendations regarding proposed loans. Present transactions to credit committee in support of approval, • Assist in quarterly and annual credit reviews as needed, • Perform other duties as directed Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with proven academic excellence; MBA preferred, • Formal credit training and minimum of six (6) years of underwriting and/or portfolio management experience within a U.S. regulated commercial banking lending environment, • Knowledge of middle market C&I cash flow lending, owner occupied mortgages, non-profit lending, CDFIs, New Market Tax Credit Finance and structured lending preferred, • A passion to support socially minded organizations, • Highly proficient financial analysis skills, including financial modeling and understanding of financial data (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, financial ratios), • Strong verbal, written, inter-personal, and public presentation skills, • Proven organizational skills; able to work independently and be detail oriented, • Ability to manage multiple long-term transactions simultaneously and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines, • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiarity with Moody’s Credit Lens is a plus Our job titles may span more than one career level. Job Description The Brooklyn Family Court Program offers case management and practical assistance to victims of crime. The overall goal of the program is to reduce the impact of victimization through advocacy, counseling and other support services. The Case Manager provides case management services to victims of domestic violence involved in the family court system.
