Job Description Job Title: Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) / Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) Location: Remote (Based in Brooklyn, NY) Job Type: Contract (10 Weeks) Compensation: • Pay Rate: $40 – $43/hour (based on experience), • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,400 – $1,500Schedule:, • Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), • Perform tumor data abstraction and registry functions in compliance with standards, • Maintain accurate and timely oncology data and documentation, • Lead and support development, evaluation, and implementation of oncology program initiatives, • Facilitate compliance with accreditation standards, including breast program certifications, • Prepare documentation such as policies, protocols, and required accreditation materials, • Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams, • Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups, • Prepare reports and present data during committee meetings, • Support value-based care and performance improvement initiatives, • Analyze data, quality metrics, and outcomes to enhance program performance, • Assist in implementing corrective action plans and process improvementsRequirements:, • Minimum 3 years of tumor registry experience in an acute care setting or equivalent, • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, • Experience with oncology accreditation standards and program development, • Ability to work independently in a remote environmentCertifications & Licensure:, • CTR (Certified Tumor Registrar) or ODS (Oncology Data Specialist) required, • RHIA or RHIT (or eligibility) preferredEducation:, • Bachelor’s degree required, • Master’s degree preferredPreferred Skills:, • Experience with oncology accreditation programs (e.g., breast program standards, cancer program standards), • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills, • Ability to interpret performance metrics and quality indicators, • Experience with policy and procedure development, • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsAdditional Information:, • Fully remote opportunity, • Contract role with potential for extension based on project needs About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
