Job DescriptionPhlebotomist - 1st Shift Alternate/Related Job Titles: • Patient Services Representative I, • Specimen Collection Technician Onsite Flexibility: OnsiteContract Details • Position Type: Contract, • Contract Duration: ~6 months, • Start: As Soon As Possible, • Pay Rate: $17–$21/hr, • Shift / Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.Job SummaryThe Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) provides professional and compassionate patient-facing specimen collection services. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring patient confidentiality, and maintaining a safe and professional clinical environment. The PSR I demonstrates strong customer service, accuracy, and adherence to established phlebotomy procedures.Key Responsibilities, • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection safely and accurately, including pediatric and geriatric draws., • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established practices., • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and staff., • Execute forensic and clinical specimen processing duties with confidence., • Perform daily activities accurately and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor., • Maintain required documentation and records., • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the general public., • Work independently with minimal on-site supervision in a fast-paced setting., • Remain flexible for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.Required Experience, • Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience., • 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred., • Customer service background in a retail or service environment preferred., • Strong keyboard and data entry experience.Required Education, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred., • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).Required Skills, • Excellent phlebotomy skills across multiple patient populations., • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment., • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.Preferred Skills, • Strong interpersonal communication and patient engagement skills., • Ability to adapt quickly to changing workload and staffing needs.Additional Skills, • Understanding of laboratory specimen processes and medical terminology., • Commitment to punctuality, accuracy, safety, and confidentiality., • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in a production-like environment.Benefits, • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans We are a Native American-owned, economically disadvantaged corporation that highly values diverse and inclusive workplaces.
