Job Description Field Service Technician Requirements: • Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electronic Technology or similar, accepting non degreed professional with commeasurable experience, Technical School graduate (Electrical/Mechanical background), • Experience working with electro-mechanical equipment is a plus, • Ability to read basic electrical schematics is a plus Field Service Representatives must possess a strong work ethic, high energy level, excellent communication skills, and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time nationwide, with occasional international travel. This is a salaried position with additional compensation for travel on behalf of the company and its customers. Primary Responsibilities: • Assist customers on-site with equipment start-up, • Train customer operators on-site in the use of equipment, • Repair or replace problematic or failed components on-site as necessary, • Approve warranty replacements as per equipment warranty stipulations, usually requiring factory verification, • Follow up on the last field service visit with customers to ensure all is well, • Test completed weigh feeders, water treatment, and other equipment prior to shipment, • Provide telephone and other types of assistance to customers, • Assist Electrical Production in testing completed control panels, • Write follow-up letters/memos to customers, reviewed by the Field Service Manager and possibly Sales prior to mailing, • Investigate unusual problems experienced in the field with applicable in-house personnel, • Close vision, and color vision ability required, • Safely and effectively lifting, carrying, and moving objects of varying weights, • Bending, stooping, reaching, balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods and maintaining the necessary physical dexterity and coordination, • A dynamic, flexible culture, that promotes collaboration and professional/ personal growth of each team member, • To be a part of a well-established team that values hard work, innovation & knows the value of its people, • Coaching and mentoring, helping team members realize their potential, aiding in defining goals and executing them, • We have an aggressive growth strategy, making way for ample advancement opportunities to transition into operations and/or direct management, • Competitive base package, • Continuous training - we are firm believers that a strong, knowledgeable, well-trained staff is the reason we are at the top of our field, having continued success Looking forward to getting to know you... Position Summary The Moving Light and Network Technician is responsible for preparing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting intelligent lighting fixtures and entertainment networking systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of equipment sent out on rental, supporting the company’s reputation for excellence and dependability. What You Will Be Doing: • Test, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on moving lights and LED fixtures (e.g., Robe, ETC, Martin, Clay Paky, Chauvet, Elation)., • Configure and test entertainment networking systems, including DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and proprietary control protocols., • Perform software updates and firmware upgrades on fixtures and networking devices., • Utilize test consoles and software tools (e.g., GrandMA, ETC EOS, Pathway, Luminex, Net3 Concert) to verify system integrity., • Collaborate with the Operations and Rental Teams to ensure equipment is show-ready and meets customer specifications., • Document repairs, configurations, and maintenance logs in inventory or ticketing systems., • Assist in cable prep and control system builds as needed., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment., • Stay current on new technologies and best practices in lighting and entertainment networking., • Provide assistance in other departments as required. Requirements: What We Are Looking For: • Two (2) plus years of experience working with intelligent lighting systems and entertainment networks in a production, rental, or systems integration environment., • Proficient in DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and common entertainment control systems., • Strong knowledge of moving light functionality and repair., • Familiarity with lighting control consoles and networking tools (e.g., MA, ETC, Pathway, Luminex)., • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification a plus., • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills., • Ability to lift 50 plus lbs. and work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Preferred Qualifications • ETCP Certification (Entertainment Electrician), • Experience with Vectorworks, Lightwright, or similar design/plotting software, • Familiarity with rental inventory software (e.g., Rentalworks, Flex, IntelliEvent) We pride ourselves on the benefits we can offer our employees.
