Reporting directly to the Scheduling Manager, the Senior Scheduler will play a pivotal role in tracking, updating, and developing comprehensive schedules to ensure project timelines are met. This is a leadership position requiring a deep understanding of scheduling methodologies, proficiency in Primavera P6, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale construction projects. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and Manage Schedules: Lead the creation and maintenance of project schedules throughout all phases of construction, from pre-construction through to project close-out., • Track Schedule Performance: Continuously monitor and update project schedules to reflect progress, performance metrics, and any changes in scope or delays., • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with project management, construction teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones., • Time Impact Analyses: Lead the development of Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) for ongoing and completed work, assessing delays and recommending mitigation strategies., • Scenario Planning and Fragnets: Develop fragnets and alternate schedule scenarios to assess potential project impacts and ensure proactive problem-solving., • Lead Schedule Reviews: Conduct regular schedule review meetings with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring all parties are aligned on the schedule status and future expectations., • Pull Planning Sessions: Facilitate Pull Planning Sessions with field teams, subcontractors, and consultants to drive collaborative schedule creation and milestone adherence., • Report Creation: Prepare detailed budget analysis reports, cost/revenue projections, and schedule progress reports to present to senior management and clients., • Financial and Resource Loading: Assist in integrating earned value analysis (EVM), cost/resource loading, and scheduling into the project management process., • Project Documentation: Collect and input data into project schedules from change orders, procurement logs, submittals, RFIs, and other essential documentation., • Mentorship: Provide guidance and leadership to junior schedulers and project engineers on scheduling processes, tools, and best practices. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management from an accredited institution., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, with a focus on large-scale public infrastructure, commercial buildings, or other major construction projects., • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential., • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for schedule tracking and reporting., • Experience in developing and managing complex project schedules on public-sector projects, including infrastructure and facilities like jails, courthouses, and similar facilities., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead schedule review meetings and collaborate with various stakeholders., • Experience with scheduling software tools, including cost/resource loading, earned value management (EVM), and scenario planning., • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and provide leadership to junior team members., • Familiarity with public projects, including governmental requirements, regulations, and contract management., • Strong team-building skills and the ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Superintendent 1 will serve as a vital team member managing specific areas of the Project in conjunction with the Lead Superintendent on the full scope of the physical construction of the project. The Superintendent 1 is responsible for Safety, QA/QC, Subcontractor Management, Document Control, Schedule, Relationship Management & Project Management while representing Callahan Construction Managers throughout the full project cycle. The Superintendent directs the day-to-day work of Callahan, Inc. tradesmen and the Subcontractors to turn out high quality work, within budget and on time. Stop unsafe work and order Callahan, Inc., and Subcontractor employees away from hazards, etc. Ensure follow through of all safety recommendations of the Safety Manager, • Manage safety inspection reports, verify remediation has occurred and document, • Manage NFPA 241 Compliance, • Manage site security daily - gates, fence line, signage, cameras, • Walk entire project daily reviewing overall compliance and document in the daily report, • Notify Safety Manager of all incidents and near misses, • Track subcontractor tool box talks, • Hold stand downs as needed, • Assist in creating the project-specific QA/QC management plan, • Drive the process for all mockups and quality benchmarks, • Schedule, lead and document all area-specific preconstruction and mockup meetings, • Schedule and record 3rd party testing and inspections, • Manage deficiency logs including distribution of A/E and 3rd party reports, assignment of trades and documentation of item close out, • Perform and manage work to complete lists, punch lists and final acceptance in PlanGrid, • Update QA/QC manager or schedule, progress and issues, • Understand and verify MAAB, ADA, & FHA Compliance, • Manage QA/QC process and reporting requirements with staff, • Verify Subcontractor layout to ensure compliance with established line and grade, rough openings and other important dimensions and elevations, • Verify & Execute:, • Dimensional verification, • Work in place is accurate to design and approved shop drawings, • Run Subcontractor Pre-mobilization Meetings (Exhibit S) for their area, • Manage risk prevention requirements of site and Subcontractors by ensuring subcontracts and insurances are in place prior to mobilization, • Manage badge program and ensure that all Subcontractor employees have undergone badge process and safety review prior to starting work, • Ensure work is available to subcontractors to be successful, • Identify, resolve problems and conflicts, organize meetings and cooperate with team members in various roles as necessary, • Maintain good communication and relationships with the labor force and their leaders, • Run weekly subcontractor meetings, • Manage delivery schedule, record deliveries and coordinate storage and work areas, • Understand all subcontract scopes of work and oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance, • Manage and enforce daily cleanup and housekeeping, notifying Lead Superintendent of any non-participating subcontractors, • Notify the Lead Super of any delays resulting from labor, equipment or material shortages, • Prepare and complete the Project Daily Report containing an accurate record of trade forces and activities, areas worked, deliveries, visitors, weather and any other pertinent information using Procore, • Manage T&M Log - verify all slips for work was approved, log is fully detailed, track labor usage, • Manage and perform shop drawing review, • Create clear and concise RFIs and offer solutions whenever possible, • Provide daily photo documentation of project and upload to job folder, • Compile and maintain all permits, testing, and inspections required for successful project completion and acceptance related to assigned area or scopes, • Create and update 3 week look ahead every week, • Manage break out schedules for all areas, • Complete the update form ahead of all schedule update meetings, • Review schedule updates with the Scheduler and Project Manager to address issues and work toward resolution and improvements, • Monitor and communicate with subcontractors to ensure that they maintain adequate forces and productivity to execute the work in accordance with the schedule requirements., • Establish and maintain positive relations with Subcontractors, Owner, Architect, and Engineers, • Foster and encourage team environment, • Meet abutters, providing a brief overview of the project and providing your contact information, • Communicate effectively in a prompt and professional manner, • Manage daily activities to plan, in advance for all the needs of project, • Understand the plans, specifications, site, estimate to the extent that the scope, magnitude, and relationship to the finished product are known, • Provide input for tracking procurement log, • Attend weekly OAC meetings, • Understand and track budget, • Notify the Lead Super / Project Manager of all required cost changes involving field conditions and receiving authorization before proceeding, • Manage all tool and equipment needs directly through NESB, • Follow the BIM Execution Plan and participate as required, • Provide clear direction and consistent feedback to team, • Motivate and coach team to achieve goals, • Mentor staff and build relationships, • Delegate tasks to challenge team and provide growth opportunities, • Engage and promote training and continuous learning for team All qualified applicants will be afforded equal opportunity.
