Job Description We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and detail-oriented Construction Management Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day site-based administration, coordination, and direct construction oversight of capital and maintenance projects in Orange and Rockland counties, New York. This will include, but is not limited to, experience in overhead and underground transmission and distribution, substation, gas, environmental/remediation, and facilities renovation/construction projects. The candidate needs to be able to work with minimal supervision and make decisions that are in the best interests of the Client. The preferred candidate will be required to read and interpret engineered drawings, specifications, and details, have adequate computer skills, and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc) This is a great opportunity for someone to influence the construction and renovations of both facilities and utility infrastructure. The Client is looking for applicants whose commute would be less than 1 hour one way. There is no per diem with this position; therefore, you must live within the preferred commute or be willing to relocate. Compensation: $100,000+ yearly Responsibilities: • Perform field oversight, • Ensures implementation of the Company's safety, health, and environmental programs for employees whose work is observed, • Ensures that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governing regulatory bodies, • Performs support of constructability reviews and has direct oversight of construction projects being performed by contractors to assure conformity with plans and specifications, regulatory compliance, • Ensure all required project documentation is being completed when and as required by the contractors to, • Validating that the equipment and material supplied meet specifications and detailed design as applicable, • Provides support in the solicitation and review of proposals. Conducts constructability reviews and pre-bid meetings, including site inspections, • Reviews and understands project specifications, material lists, drawings, and makes field checks and inspections to provide pre-construction analysis as required or directed, • Coordinates project construction scheduling for various phases of work, including working with the scheduler and project team to identify potential delays and mitigate delays; maintains all records associated with accounting for materials, equipment, and material deliveries, services, rigging, and evaluating lifting plans, inspection, and witness of acceptance testing; oversees all project and site safety and provides updates to Project Management, • Prepares daily project progress reports, schedules, accident and damage reports, switching clearance requests, internal work application/permits, Contractor Oversight System (COS) reports, Unifier data entries and reporting, etc., as required or directed, • Responsible for the monitoring of all equipment destined for specific projects to ensure continuous insurance coverage, safe operation, storage, delivery, and servicing, • Consults with other Company departments to ensure proper communication and coordination of projects and assists the Project Engineer with all Construction Administration responsibilities as directed, • Provide safety reports as needed, including the coordination and facilitation of EHASP development and approval process with contractor and EH&S personnel, • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years' experience or,, • Associate's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, and a minimum of 4 years' experience or,, • High school diploma/GED and minimum 5 years' experience in Electrical, Civil, and/or Mechanical systems, or related technical experience, • Additionally, experience with excavation, concrete, and civil construction is required, • OSHA 10 certification is required; OSHA 30 would be preferred, • Strong leadership and communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction, • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities, • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, • Must have strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills At Joe Knows Energy, we are building a culture rooted in Accountability, Collaboration, and Transparency. • For all of our team members (Joes): We provide a values-driven, Kingdom-focused culture that puts people first, prioritizing growth and professional development.
