Job Description The Artistic Group is expanding our boutique production team in Mahwah, NJ. We specialize in high-end, luxury invitation suites where digital precision and traditional artistry collide. We are seeking dedicated individuals to handle the "start-to-finish" production of our world-class stationery. Many of our projects begin on the HP Indigo 7K for complex digital bases and move directly to our C&P, Kluge, or Heidelberg presses for letterpress, foil, or embossing. Note on Experience: While we prefer candidates with a background in these specific methods, we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses a mechanical mind, a steady hand, and an uncompromising eye for detail. Position 1: Letterpress / Kluge / C&P Operator Role: Executing the tactile finishing that defines luxury stationery. • Manual & Auto Presswork: Operating Chandler & Price Platen Presses (hand-fed) and Heidelberg Windmills/Kluge units., • Specialty Finishing: Executing flawless Embossing, deep-impression letterpress, and foil stamping., • The Craft of Hand-Feeding: We value the control of hand-feeding for our most delicate stocks. You will be responsible for maintaining registration and safety during manual feeds., • Ink Mastery: Precisely mixing Pantone inks to match designer specifications. Role: Managing the digital foundation of our luxury suites. • Digital Operation: Expert-level setup and operation of the HP Indigo 7K., • Substrate Mastery: Handling specialty thick, textured, and luxury paper stocks., • Registration for Finishing: Ensuring perfect alignment, knowing these sheets will move to our manual presses for embossing or foil "hits.", • The "Eye": An uncompromising eye for registration, color consistency, and detail., • Background: Experience in print, design, or fine arts is a big plus, but a passion for the craft is a requirement., • Mechanical Aptitude: A natural ability to troubleshoot and understand how analog machinery works., • Accountability: Ability to manage your own production schedule and take pride in a finished, boxed product., • Luxury Focus: Create some of the most beautiful stationery in the world., • Training: We are committed to teaching the right person the "lost arts" of traditional printing., • Benefits: Medical Insurance and Paid Time Off (PTO)., • Pay: Competitive range of $40,000 – $85,000/yr based on experience level.

The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for visual design, proficiency in WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite, and hands-on experience building and maintaining WordPress websites. This role combines website design with graphic design projects for both digital and print, offering variety and creative freedom. Candidates should be local to Northern New Jersey and able to work on a hybrid schedule (part in-office, part remote). Key Responsibilities · Design and update responsive WordPress websites. · Create visually compelling graphics, layouts, and imagery for both web and print using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). · Design engaging and visually cohesive page layouts for editorial magazines, ensuring alignment with brand identity and readability standards. · Develop materials such as web banners, social media graphics and marketing collateral. · Collaborate with team members to translate project requirements into functional, engaging designs. · Stay up-to-date with design trends, UX/UI best practices, and WordPress advancements.
