Job Description Location: Hybrid / Remote with Travel (Tradeshows & Client Meetings) Type: Full‐Time or Part‐Time (Flexible for the Right Candidate) About Us We are a growing cybersecurity startup focused on helping organizations reduce risk, stay protected, and make smarter security decisions. We work closely with business owners and leadership teams and pride ourselves on being practical, relationship‐driven, and trusted advisors. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to work directly with the owner and help expand our sales efforts and client relationships. Role Overview This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with a founder, supporting sales efforts, engaging with prospects, and learning how a growing cybersecurity business operates. You will assist with day‐to‐day sales activities, follow‐ups, outreach, meeting coordination, and client engagement. Over time, this role can grow into a larger sales or account management position as the company expands. Key Responsibilities Sales & Client Support • Assist the owner with sales outreach, prospect follow‐ups, and relationship management, • Make outbound phone calls and emails to prospects and existing clients, • Track leads, conversations, and next steps in a simple CRM or tracking system, • Attend sales and client meetings (virtual and in‐person), • Schedule meetings, demos, and follow‐ups, • Attend tradeshows, conferences, and networking events, • Help staff the booth, engage attendees, collect leads, and represent the company professionally, • Help identify new opportunities, partnerships, and outreach ideas, • Support marketing and sales campaigns as needed, • Strong communication skills (phone, email, and in‐person), • Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple follow‐ups, • Friendly, professional, and confident speaking with business owners and executives, • Interest in sales, business development, and growing with a startup, • Comfortable using basic tools (email, calendars, spreadsheets, CRM systems), • Prior experience in sales, customer service, or administrative support, • Exposure to technology, IT, or cybersecurity environments, • Direct mentorship and hands‐on experience working with the company owner, • Opportunity to grow into a larger sales or account role as the business expands, • Flexible work environment, • Exposure to the cybersecurity industry and real‐world business development, • Someone early in their sales or business career, • A highly organized assistant looking to grow into sales, • A motivated self‐starter who enjoys relationship‐building and learning Integrated (physical + digital) Evidence-based (provable, auditable) Public-sector defensible Compliance-aware Focused on prevention, not reaction This is not about selling tools—it’s about making risk understandable, manageable, and defensible when it matters most.Working with or for Proactive Risk delivers safety and security that is:\r\n\r\nIntegrated (physical + digital)\r\nEvidence-based (provable, auditable)\r\nPublic-sector defensible\r\nCompliance-aware\r\nFocused on prevention, not reaction\r\n\r\nThis is not about selling tools—it’s about making risk understandable, manageable, and defensible when it matters most.
