Please take a moment to watch our video to learn more about our culture and contributions to our members: youtu.be/hYNdMGLn19A Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, the Manager, Marketing & Communications will support the Health Fund's success in engaging with stakeholder audiences, write and manage multimedia campaigns, and assist with developing strategic initiatives. The Manager, Marketing & Communications will write, edit, and manage Health related multimedia campaigns and initiatives that engage, educate, and build trust with our plan participants, our healthcare providers and partners, and our industry peers. The Manager, Marketing & Communications will have one direct report, the Senior Marketing & Communications Digital Analyst. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • As the Health Fund's team is evolving, so is the role of the Manager, Marketing & Communications. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:, • Create audience-appropriate messaging for campaigns that advance the Health Fund’s strategic priorities, engage its various audiences, and elevate its brand, • Assist in producing relevant, clear, and appealing communications that promote members’ understanding of their health benefits and their health literacy, • Compose brief, easy-to-understand articles for the organization’s bimonthly newsletter, Benefit Matters, • Participate in multidisciplinary work groups and collaborate with Health Fund colleagues and other teams (e.g., Member Engagement and Member Services) to identify and close communications gaps. Apply member feedback and other data to assess and improve the effectiveness of member communications, • Maintain a calendar of marketing and communications activities and projects and help manage the internal review and approval process to ensure communications are accurate and timely, • Advise the Health Fund leadership team to articulate and position the Funds' brand and build awareness among both internal and external audiences of the 32BJ Health Fund as an innovator in healthcare policy and delivery, • Develop communications to promote Health Fund conferences and provide logistical support to ensure the success of these programs., • Manage vendor and consulting relationships, including evaluating proposals, defining the deliverables, and ensuring the final work product meets the needs of the Health Fund, • Lead the collaborative work of new and existing Health Fund clinical partners, including Memorial Sloan Kettering, the 5 Star Centers, and other health systems, in identifying opportunities to inform and engage members about their benefits along with developing cobranded communications that effectively address those needs, • Educate members about new healthcare initiatives and programs that offer positive health outcomes and lower the cost of care, • Assist with the development and/or implementation of special projects that will improve health outcomes and lower the cost of care, • Collaborate with Health Fund leadership and use data management insights to determine targets, measure performance, and improve operational outcomes, • Able to allocate resources effectively across various campaigns and initiatives, • Track ROI for marketing spend and forecast reporting to leadership, • Provide additional support as directed by senior leadership and management Qualifications (Competencies): • 7+ years of relevant work experience required in marketing campaign management, advertisement, market research and analysis, or communications budget management, • Strong ability and confidence in understanding and achieving long-term strategies and meeting day-to-day goals, including managing multiple communications campaigns and deadlines, • Demonstrated positive, nuanced, and pragmatic people leadership skills, • Eagerness to contribute, to collaborate, and to grow as a team member—and to support the growth of other team members, • Superior writing and presentation skills, with a demonstrated facility in clearly and creatively distilling complex ideas into fresh language that resonates with audiences’ hearts and minds, • Keen critical thinking skills that show an attention to detail, quality, and consistency and an understanding of the big picture, • Experience in communicating across contemporary media platforms, including web, video, and social, • Excellent knowledge of grammar and usage based on Chicago, New York Times, or AP style guidance, • Solid competence with Microsoft Office Suite and Canva, • Agility with Adobe software such as like Illustrator and Photoshop is preferred, • Interest in social and economic justice, especially in support of union members, low-wage workers, or immigrant communities Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is preferred. Language Skills: Fluent in Spanish is preferred.
